I hope you all enjoyed the last chapter because this one is going to be a ride of emotions

And uhhhh, Fulgur and Glacies shippers- get the pitchforks and fire ready

After the debate and all the less than major roughhousing to raise spirits, Venenum tuckered himself out and crashed as soon as they made it to camp later that evening, not having to go to the sandcastle, the knights settled down at the entrance of the marsh near the farm

Ignis had a minor episode of panic that Glacies had helped him through with breathing exercises, after Venenum had gone to sleep, Ignis had gotten really anxious without him there, so Glacies had to stand in while to keep Ignis grounded.

Unfortunately, Ignis didn't want to get overwhelmed by too many people, or rather, just Fulgur, so he wasn't allowed to go into the tent until Ignis fell asleep, which left the Lightning knight on guard duty.

The Barbarian ally, Fulgur already forgetting his name, had insisted in accompanying them, but as a group and Viburnum, they decided it would be best for them to stay back, Glacies didn't want any one of them to die, Venenum didn't want to travel in a bigger group because he thought it would draw too much attention, and Ignis didn't want the Wizard to take over again and kill someone.

Fulgur agreed with all of them, despite assurances that Ignis wouldn't let that happen, it was better to be safe than to have another slaughter.

Unfortunately for Fulgur, Viburnum wasn't allowed into the tent either, which meant that the Iceskimo had to keep him company, an extremely unwanted and hated company.

But they had sat in silence for a while, then that silence was broken when the Iceskimo said something.

"Look, I get it, I'm 'the enemy' but can't you just tolerate me for Glacies' sake, you're tearing him apart."

Fulgur ignored the temptation to start a fight with the Iceskimo.

"Gee, would it be better for us to go to the outskirts of the camp so that we don't disturb the others?"

Fulgur rolled his eyes under his helmet and started walking, grabbing his mace and resting it on his shoulder, gripping the handle tightly, trying not to think about how satisfying it would be to just turn and smash the Iceskimo's head in.

Viburnum followed behind him, and it was not Fulgur's plan to be stabbed in the back, turning around, swinging the mace in front of Viburnum's face. What monster lurks under that hood?

"In front of me. Now."

The Iceskimo put his hands up, more like his weapons.

"Okay, okay, were you this bad to the others when you met them?" the Iceskimo asked with a huff as he got in front of Fulgur and continued walking.

And once they were more outside the camp, Fulgur snarled, "I'm tearing Glacies apart!? The second we get close to your land, you'll turn on us!"

Viburnum threw his hands dramatically, "I don't know why I even try to get on your good side! You obviously don't have one!"

"I don't have one for the enemy!"

"Then what's Ignis? He's possessed, what makes him not another kill on sight?"

"Ignis is trusted and loyal, you are not."

"What about Glacies then!? He would've been raised by Iceskimos if the knights hadn't taken him away! But you're practically head over heels for him!"

Fulgur flushed under his helmet, and growled, but the Iceskimo was right.

"I'm never going to trust you and no matter what Glacies says, I will never care about how he feels about you because I don't give a speck of dirt about you," Fulgur hissed before he headed back into camp.
