Backstory -

She never asked to be the principal's daughter.

All she really asked for was a true friend. One who didn't become friends with her just so they can't get detention. Which, doesn't really make sense because it's usually the teachers who give them out but whatever. This is an AU.

The rest of the school? They left her out, thinking she would snitch on them if they did something bad. But she won't! In fact, she's so good at hiding secrets from her dad that he still doesn't know that she likes girls and it's been 6 years.

She knows he's an ally, but once he does know, he'll be yelling from the rooftops that he is proud of her for opening up to him. Which will not help at all because some of the kids in the school were homophobic.

In fact, 5 of them jumped a kid who came out as trans. He barely made it out alive. She'll come out to him when she's in college. (Spoiler, she doesn't.)

Today was supposed to be a regular day at school. Eat breakfast, ride the bus, attend classes and pay attention. The difference? She was going to run away.

She already saved up her monthly allowance and traded it for cash. She quit her job. She has a separate backpack at the back of the school that had all the things she needed.

Which is why she almost cried when she had received a detention from one of her teachers. She didn't get why, apparently she wasn't "paying attention" to class. She could recite what the teacher said word for word!

She had a chance to run, but then that stupid teacher just had to get in the way. They just so happen to be her least favorite as well. The math teacher, Ms. Bitch.

Anyway, back to the present, here she is. In the class where they hold detention. It absolutely reeks in here. It's a miracle she's even breathing right now.

Suddenly, a shot rang out from the hallways. "Uhm.. what was that?"

"Oh wow, it totally didn't sound like there's a school shooting going on, especially since we just heard gunshots from the hallway. Didn't know that at all."

"Woah, what's happening with you Rose?"

"Enough about me, we have to hide now!"

She dragged all of the kids in detention to the corner of the classroom. "You guys stay here and I'll go and try to lock the door."

"What? No."

"Shut up Callum, you have no say in this."

"But-"

"I said shut up."

He shut up, finally, some peace and quiet. She crawled towards the door and tried to lock the door. She glanced outside as she did. Stupid decision.

She saw a teacher get shot in the chest. She clasped her hands on her mouth in shock. In that moment, she was like, nah I'm too sober for this shit and brought out her backpack. She brought it with her in detention.

She brought out a bottle of pills and took some. Woah. She can see the rainbow! Wait what. But she's inside? Whatever, she didn't have long to dwell on that as she heard more screams.

She thought that they were screaming for fun, so her dumbass went outside and somehow locked the door. When she saw a body on the floor, she went up to have a closer inspection.

Turns out, the teacher was Ms. Bitch. She wasn't that sad, in fact, she was happy. Ms. Bitch deserved it. She stopped her from running away.

*Insert a very detailed gunshot*

What was that? Rose wanted to go and check it out. So she did. It led her to the science lab, where there was a masked person there holding something.

"Hii!! How aree yuo?"

*Pretend this is a detailed gunshot*

Down she goes. She got shot, in case you didn't know. Then the mist came and took out her body.
