Isabelle's POV

I hear the bell ring and basically sprint to the door, I try to get away before Evan, Oliver, Emma, and Lily catch up, but I was to late, as soon as I got outside I was slammed  into the brick wall, I whimper from the pain, then my old backpack was ripped out of my hands, I look up and see Evan and his gang

I stand up and try to grab the bag, he holds it out of my reach, I jump and try to grab it

"Awwww, looks like something must be important in this" he grabs it and goes through it, I struggle as Oliver holds onto me tightly, then he tosses my bag and his fist lands straight on my face, then they beat the hell out of me

They leave my bag in a puddle and run away laughing

My body is in pain, I crawl over to my bag, grabbing it and limping over to the bakery I work at, I get there and my boss is running around doing two peoples work "s-sorry I-I'm l-late boss..." I try to grab my apron but she smacks my hand away

"Sorry we don't have time for you to finish your sentence" she mocks my stutter I've had since birth, I bow my head

"Please b-boss.... I-I really nee-" she cuts me off my pushing me out of the store, I bow my head and leave, I go to my old breaking down apartment, a letter on my bed from my landlord, it reads

If you don't have your debt paid to Andrew in 3 weeks then you will be kicked out

I sigh at the words and go have a shower, the scorching hot water runs for only 4 minutes so I have to do it quickly, I whimper at the pain but I'm used to it by now, after the shower I put on shorts and a clean big, but clean shirt, I go onto my really old and broken laptop, I start looking for jobs but realize there's only jobs available in Santiago, the city right next to our little old town, I sigh and curl up for bed

Then I get a message from Andrew, my moms debt collector, since she died I've been having to pay off her debt, but now I have little money

You better have the money in 3 weeks or I will fucking rip you up limb by limb

Yes sir

I reply, I curl under my small blanket and fall asleep

Pretty reasonable, right? The next day I get up on time and get to school, I finish school and RUN to the bus "Santiago, please" I tell the bus driver while handing him the money, I hide in a seat and watch as Evan and his gang come out of school and search for me.

the bus takes off and I sigh in relief, I was kicked out of my apartment so I have all my stuff with me

We get to Santiago everyone can tell I don't belong there, my body is small and beat up and clothes aren't very nice, I sigh and spot a small nice looking cafe, I go in and spot the cashier

"H-hi...?" I ask softly, she eyes me up and down noticing the bruises all over me, an older guy was eying me "you don't belong here, do ya sweetheart?" She asks me, I bow my head

"N-no I-I'm j-just looking f-for a job...?" A guy, the manager I'm assuming "sorry you don't fit our description, I'm gonna have to ask you to leave"

I nod and leave but I feel something being put in my pocket, I get outside and look at the letter

There is a golden card that says

Maids hiring for the Agosti family

In neat writing, I look at the letter

Hello darling, if you're looking for a job you must go to the address on the card, tell them that Mr. Neil gave it to you, they pay well with free housing and food, enjoy bless your sweet heart

I smile at the kind words, i sigh and see I have no other option, then I see a horror, Evan and his gang getting off the bus, I gasp and hide in an alleyway next to a garbage can

"I swear when I find that girl I'm gonna fucking beat her" Evan swears, I whimper quietly, but accidentally drop the golden card, right next to Evans foot "shit" I thought to myself

"Found her" Evan smirks and kneels down by my face "why'd you do that?" He asks like he's nice to me, it's getting dark now so no one is around, I whimper softly,

Then he starts to kick me, my ribs, head, legs,

Everywhere, his friends join in, then I see hear footsteps just after a gun shot....
