They say find someone who matches your level of madness and that's exactly what I think I found as I'm walking with Aria through the streets of Nagoya. We've headed out for the night, since we're leaving for China tomorrow, and no one will care if we sleep on the airplane. The team is usually going through a meeting during the flight anyway. Last time we flew, Martha held Levi and Lewis in a PR meeting as Aria and I sat on two seats next to each other and watched Gossip Girl, followed by us falling asleep, my head tilted on her shoulder, her head tilted on mine.
I've learned that travelling together is far more interesting, this being the something my travels in those months were lacking. Someone to share the memories with.
Aria is in a very short white crop top with Hello Kitty's face on it, a short pink skirt and some knee-high white platform boots, her being the one to dress as Hello Kitty. I'm My Melody, a silk pastel pink shirt dress with white lace as applications, some knee-high white socks, pastel pink platforms and a matching bow in my head.
I'm holding Aria by the arm as we're heading towards the city centre, as we are just coming from a karaoke bar where we sang our guts out. I'm totally going to lose my voice tomorrow, yet luckily to soothe it up a bit, Aria offered me a cough drop from her bag. She said she's always holding them with her in case Winnie needs one. The girl is spending the night with Lia today, who already told us she's going to play Minigolf with her boyfriend and Winnie, eat something at a restaurant, then watch a film in their hotel room. We planned this outing for days, ever since we arrived at the Japanese GP, so we had enough time to take care of all details. The guys are also out partying, to celebrate the four positions they got at the Prix yesterday. Lewis first, then Chris, then Levi, then Fabio. They couldn't have been more happy.
"Yvonne", Aria lets out, halting in the middle of the sidewalk, causing some other people to curse at us.
"What's up?", I ask her worried.
She points a shop to me and a bright smile tugs on my lips. So does it on Aria's lips, til we're both running in the direction of the shop. We arrive at what must be wonderland. Shelves over shelves filled with cute plushies, all adorable as heck. Now, I might like plushies, but Aria loves them, hence why she is now hopping around the place, taking everything in.
"There are unicorn plushies, and fruit plushies, and animal plushies", she says, running around the aisles in her Hello Kitty look, earning herself curious glances. However, I just smile. She looks as happy as before, when after we tried our luck on five Japanese songs, we finally moved to Taylor Swift ones.
"Cat plushies", she exclaims, hopping in front of the shelf filled with cat plushies.
I instinctively take out my phone and start filming. Birthday story material.
Aria proceeds to present each plushie to me, all while trying to decide which one she wants. She settles on a huge plushie of a white cat, the thing reaches from her chin all the way to her hips. She also buys a unicorn one for Winnie, thankfully smaller, since this size would probably be larger than her. I buy myself a small matcha plushie, that I from now plan on having as bed companion. Hopefully this would make me dream of matcha and not the man I call my husband.
We're at the cashier paying, as Aria's phone rings. She curses once st the interruption yet stops as she takes it out and places it between her neck and her cheek, to be able to talk while she pays. Given how close we're standing, I can't help but hear what the caller is saying, even if I didn't want to eavesdrop.
