Crystal sat at her desk, deep in thought, and focused on the work in front of her. As she scribbled down notes on a piece of paper, her frustration grew, and her face contorted into a frown. Suddenly, a voice interrupted her internal struggle.

"Having that frowned

on your face won't solve your internal battle. Especially if you're going to take it out on that poor piece of paper," the voice spoke from her office door.

Startled, Crystal's gaze shot up to the door, where Xavier stood with his arms crossed. His presence made his muscles stand out even more, and Crystal couldn't help but admire his physique. But she quickly snapped out of her trance when she realized he was there to talk to her.

"Uhhh. I'm sorry, sir, did you need anything?" she said as she stood up, clearing her throat.

Ignoring the fact she had called him, sir, he stepped further into the office.

"Called your office phone like five times. So I came to check if everything was ok," he replied. Crystal's office was right next to theirs, meaning they could hear every heartbeat and breath.

"Yes, I'm fine. I just got lost in thought," she spoke. One thing Xavier noticed was that she was avoiding eye contact, her body refrained, and her heart was picking up. He could tell that she was scared, but he didn't push the issue.

"I want you to make five copies of these," he said, dropping the document. "They will be needed for our meeting in 20 minutes," he said, eyes staring down at her.

The only thing separating them was her desk, and Xavier wanted nothing more than to flip over and show her the true definition of pleasure.

But he refrained.

"I'll go right to it, sir," she whispered, her gaze still on the ground as she left.

XAVIER'S POV

My brother and I have endured for far too long in this world. Continuously witness the passing of our loved ones, only to see their offspring give birth to new families that we will inevitably outlive.

We've watched them fall in love. Watched them enslave each other. The disgust they showed to a man of different color and language. Watched them start a war amongst themselves. Driven by Gride and pride.

All these distractions yet continue to repeat the same mistakes over and over.

But now...

Our attention has shifted from the entertainment of the world and is now focused solely on her. She has become the center of our focus, and our thoughts are consumed by her presence.

The power of beauty should never be underestimated, and when it comes to her, it's no exception. Her mere presence has the power to break through the darkest walls that my brother and I have built over centuries. She invaded our hearts with just a glimpse of her figure, the sound of her voice, and her captivating smile - all worth more than the generational wealth we've acquired.

I couldn't help but watch her as she clenched the document and left the room. As she walked by, I caught a whiff of her perfume - a delicate blend of vanilla and stream water. It was just like her - enchanting and unforgettable.

As she walks away, I can feel my heart sinking in my chest. It takes all of my willpower to resist the urge to reach out and touch her, to wrap my arms around her, and never let go. She's just so beautiful, and the thought of not having her by my side is almost unbearable. But I know that soon, I'll have her all to myself.

My grip will be unyielding, possessive, as I claim her as mine. Just the thought of it sends shivers down my spine, and I can hardly wait for the moment when I can finally call her mine.
