Crystal was startled awake by a sudden gasp that escaped her lips. As she opened her eyes, she found herself in a dimly lit room, with no windows and no doors in sight. The cold, hard floor beneath her ached with each movement she made, and she soon realized that her right foot was tightly chained to the wall.

Panic set in as she tried to free herself, but the chains only seemed to tighten with each tug. Her heart raced with fear as she frantically looked around, trying to make sense of her unfamiliar surroundings.

She felt a sharp pain in her head and her body was aching all over. Vlad's voice echoed in the room, "Don't struggle, it will only get worse." He sat calmly on a chair, his eyes fixed on her. Crystal tried to move again but soon realized the other chains around her wrists and ankles held her tightly. She heard the sound of metal clinking as she tried to free herself, but Vlad immediately interrupted, "Plus the sound of you rustling the chains annoys me."

Feeling confused and scared, Crystal asked, "Where am I?" Her voice was hoarse and barely audible. She cleared her throat and tried again, "Where am I?"

Vlad leaned back in his chair, a smirk on his face. "You're exactly where you're supposed to be," he replied, his voice dripping with malice. Crystal's mind raced, trying to recall how she got there.

Then it all came back to her in a flash. The café, her decision to walk towards the woods, the sudden attack of a mountain lion, and Vlad appearing out of nowhere to chase her. Her eyes darted towards Vlad, the man responsible for her captivity, who sat there quietly without a care in the world.

"What do you want?" She asked in a quiet voice.

Vlad smirked watching as she attempted to sit up straight.

"You oddly calm for someone in your position," he said. "And we'll get to your question later. We still have 20 minutes before they find you" Vlad's voice was filled with malice and Crystal shivered at his tone. "And a lot of things can be done within those 20 minutes" he smirked.

As Vlad stepped closer to Crystal, she couldn't help but notice the sudden change in his appearance. His once hazel eyes now glowed a bright shade of red, and his teeth appeared to have grown sharper than before. Crystal's heart raced as she realized the danger she was in.

She tried to scream for help, but her voice seemed to be trapped in her throat. As Vlad took another step forward, Crystal's fear turned into a blood-curdling scream that echoed through the dense forest, hoping someone would come to her aid.

Over thirty vampires had been summoned by Matthew and Xavier, the two powerful brothers who were searching for their mate, Crystal. They gathered on a spot where Crystal's scent was still strong, lining up and waiting for an order from their masters.

Matthew handed a scarf, which Crystal had left in his car after a lunch break they had, to one of the vampires. The scarf carried her scent, and each of them took a deep sniff, getting a whiff of her alluring aroma.

"Find her and bring her back to us," Matthew commanded. "She is our mate and our future queen. Finding her should be your top priority, unless, of course, you want to end up like them," Xavier added, his voice laced with a threatening tone.

All of the summoned vampires turned toward the two bodies of vampires that were responsible for Crystal's safety. Crystal had no idea, but she always had at least two vampires working under the brothers to keep an eye on her, and today they had paid the price of letting her out of their sight.

Everyone present gulped in fear as they stared at the two lifeless bodies.

"What are you waiting for? Find her!" Xavier shouted, his voice echoing through the air. Without a single thought or question, every one of the summoned vampires set out to find Crystal, determined to bring her back to their masters.
