"Sunday morning, rain is falling," Cody sang as he got into the shower.
It was Sunday morning and rain was falling, what a coincidence.
The month's movie night came fast. Cody, Allison, Melanie, and now, Chad, were going to meet at Jewel Movie Theatre later at night. For the meanwhile, they enjoyed the rain. Cody thought about how he was going to tell Melanie about Kristen, Chad's other girlfriend.
It was not going to be easy, but as he showered, he made a plan. The best plans seem to be made while taking a shower.
The plan consisted in stealing Chad's phone, texting Kristen, and she will appear looking for Chad, but she will be surprised when she sees him with another girl. Of course, Cody would have chosen a better plan, like inviting her himself, but it would alarm his friends if he asked for permission to take a girl that he barely knew to a movie night.
While Cody got ready for the day, at the other side of town, Allison was texting with Melanie.
A: So, Chad is coming to our month's movie night?
M: Yeah, is there a problem?
A: Oh, no, there's no problem.
Of course there was a problem, Allison did not like Chad, she felt he had a bad vibe.
A: By the way, may I invite a friend?
M: Sure, but is that friend a girl or a boy?
A: Uh, why?
M: Just curious... Tell me!
A: No...
M: Oh my God, that friend is a boy! Who is he?
A: I got to go get ready, see you later, Bye!
That's when Allison disconnected, locking her phone and falling down on her bed. Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath and grabbed her phone again, unlocking it and opening her contacts list, she clicked on the contact she had called recently and waited for him to answer.
"Hey!" Drew said as he answered the call. "Hello," Allison responded, a small smile spreading across his lips.
"What is up?" he asked, "It's this movie about an old guy, a peppy young kid, and a talking dog who fly a house attached to balloons and fight off a grumpy dude with a zeppelin and an army of talking dogs," Allison explained, she could already feel that Drew was rolling his eyes.
"Very funny, Ally," he said, and she couldn't help but feel shivers when she heard him call her Ally.
"You know you love me," she said, joking but hoping he really did. "Of course, I do," he said, and she blushed.
"You're blushing, aren't you?" he said while smiling.
"Shut up," she said, blushing harder, "I just called to invite you to a movie night with Melanie, Cody, Melanie's boyfriend, and well, me. Do you want to go?" She bit her lip, waiting for his response.
"Yes, of course, I would love to," he said, Allison smiled, "You have to promise me something, though."
"What?" Allison asked, frowning in confusion. "You have to promise me you will sit beside me," as Drew said that, a smirk plastered on his face, Allison blushed, feeling a burning sensation on her chest. She nodded rapidly, but remember he couldn't see her.
"I promise I will sit beside you," she said, smiling from ear to ear.
"Well, with that set, I will be happy to go," Drew said.
