Jakayla's POV
"Was it really all a dream, Sadie? I'm still stuck here?"
"Yeah. Sorry, Jakayla. But I had to wake you up. She called you down to her office about 2 minutes ago, so you might want to rush," Sadie, my best friend, advises me.
"Oh. Shit..." I whisper. I rush to my closet and grab my favorite outfit. My only Fall Out Boy t-shirt, my only pair of Vans, and my only clean pair of black skinny jeans. It takes me 2 minutes to get dressed.
"Jakayla Ann! If you don't get downstairs within the next six minutes, you will have to do everyone's chores for a month!" Ms. Flack yells over the intercom.
I rush into the bathroom and do my makeup in a matter of 2 minutes.
"How do I look, Sadie?"
"Good. Now run! Run like Patrick Stump is doing a concert and you're about to be late!"
And with those words of wisdom from my second best friend, I'm down the stairs in a minute, which is pretty fast considering I stay on the third floor. I slow my pace to a fast walk as I walk into Ms. Flack's office on the first floor.
"Ms. Flack?" I ask carefully.
"Ah! Jakayla, you're here early. Good. There's a man claiming to be your father and the doctors want to do a blood comparison."
"That's fine by me. When do you want me to be ready?"
"Now."
"Oh. Where should I go?"
"Wait by the front door for me and we will leave."
"Okay, Ms. Flack," I answer cautiously.
Ms. Flack walks to her room to grab something probably her coat and I walk outside and wait by the curb.
*screech*
"Look out!"
"Jakayla!!" That's the last thing I hear before I pass out.
