Ch. 12 ~ FIRE & WATER

"Doby, wake up! We need to catch our flight. I'll take a shower first, okay?"

"Okay,"

Doby mumbled sleepily, his voice still heavy with drowsiness.

Jace chuckled softly at his partner's half-asleep response. Before getting out of bed, he unconsciously leaned in and took a quick sniff of Doby's hair. With a satisfied smile, he finally got up and headed to the bathroom to take a shower.

As the sound of running water filled the room, Doby slowly started to wake up. Then, memories from a few hours ago suddenly rushed back to him. His face turned warm as he recalled the kiss they had shared. It wasn’t their first time kissing after all, they had done a kissing scene before in their previous series. But this time, it was different. It wasn’t just acting. It felt real, deep, and intimate. Both of them had been completely into it.

"How am I supposed to face him now? I really need to stop drinking when I’m with him... Urrrghh"

Doby groaned inwardly.

Feeling overwhelmed with shyness, he grabbed a pillow and covered his face, hoping to push the thought of the kiss out of his mind.

On the Airplane.

As they settled into their seats on the plane, Jace noticed that Doby seemed quieter than usual. He pat him gently.

"Hey, Dob, are you okay?"

He asked, concerned.

"I'm fine… Just sleepy,"

Doby replied, trying to sound normal.
Jace raised an eyebrow.

"Then sleep."

"No,"

Doby quickly refused. Jace looked at him in confusion.

"Huh? But I thought you were sleepy?"

"I'm afraid you'll take a picture of me sleeping and post it on social media,"

Doby said, narrowing his eyes at him.
Jace burst into laughter.

"I won’t do that again!"

Doby eyed him suspiciously.

"Promise? You won’t do that again?"

"Yeah, yeah! I won’t post your picture on X anymore,"

Jace reassured him. Then, with a teasing smirk, he added,

"I want to keep it for myself only."

"Jace!"

Doby whined, pouting cutely. Jace couldn't help but smile at how adorable his partner looked. He really enjoyed teasing him and seeing his cute reactions.

"Ughh, don’t sulk, okay? I’m sleepy too... Let’s just sleep,"

Jace said, shifting in his seat. Before Doby could protest, Jace gently pulled him closer, resting Doby’s head on his shoulder. He smiled down at him as if silently telling him to relax and sleep.

Feeling the warmth and comfort of Jace’s presence, Doby finally gave in. He closed his eyes, letting himself drift off. Soon, both of them fell asleep, exhausted from their busy schedule and lack of rest.

An hour later, Doby was the first to wake up. Blinking the sleep from his eyes, he realized that Jace was still fast asleep beside him. Carefully, he freed himself from Jace’s embrace and quietly reached for his partner’s phone.

A mischievous grin appeared on Doby’s lips as he took a picture of Jace sleeping. Then, he sneakily grabbed his own phone from his bag, changed his wallpaper to a cute picture of himself that Jace had taken earlier, and posted on X with the caption:
