24. The Windy City Rendezvous

Amber and Janiya ran into Yoongi's arms, happy as ever to see his smiling face. The feeling was mutual, he squeezed them both as much as he possibly could. They pulled away from each other for individual hugs and kisses on cheeks.

"I can't believe you were able to come and that you did, just to see me" he grinned, blush staining his cheeks as he led them to the sofa in his suite.

"Of course we did" Amber giggled, pinching his cheek "I missed this adorable face."

"Same, I'm glad you wanted to see us" Janiya added. She sat on the parallel couch, so she was facing him while Amber sat next to him. "How have you been, catch us up?"

"Busy" he laughed, shaking his head "I've been traveling all over and producing like a mad scientist. I'm working on solo music for myself and a secret collaboration. Retirement what?"

"Wow, Yoongi when do you actually sleep or eat?" Niya teased.

"I know right, but I make sure I eat and sleep... well that's never been my strongest relationship, but I rest when I need to, trust me. The guys still get on me for it regularly but catch me up with you two, what's new?" He asked, sitting back on the sofa.

"Not much, now that the holidays are over, and Janiya's birthday has passed it pretty quiet." Amber started, folding her left leg under her body and sitting at an angle to face look at Yoongi while they talked.

"That makes sense. I hate that I couldn't make it for your birthday with everyone else, I even heard Taehyung popped up on you to help celebrate."

"Yeah, I was definitely surprised by it all. I had no clue, but I was so happy they came, having you there would have been great too, but I understand, and you're here now and you get us all to yourself."

"Right, you're so lucky" Amber joked.

"I sure am. So where are you guys staying? I know you ended up changing hotels at the last minute?"

"Marriott by the airport" Niya answered his question. "But it's gross. We asked them to move us into a better room and it was worse than the first."

"Well that makes what I'm about to ask easier on me, do you want to stay here with me? Not necessarily in my room but in this hotel, we have this whole floor of the hotel blocked out for us so plenty of empty rooms."

"Yes, that would be great Yoongi, thank you" Amber said, squeezing his arm appreciatively.

"That was easy, I expected more pushback."

"If my sexy popstar friend wants to put me up in a hotel for a few days, who am I to declined and disappoint."

"Ditto" Niya agreed making his blush at the compliment.

"Well okay then" He checked his watch and stood up. "I have to meeting up with some people, but it shouldn't take long, if you haven't already made plans for dinner would you like to join me?"

"Of course we will." Amber answered this time.

"Great, how about you guys get your stuff and check out the hotel then come back here. Pick any available room and I will update my team right now to let them know of the changes. Figure out what you want to eat and text me."

"Yes sir" they said at the same time, Niya with a playful salute. Yoongi hugged them both again before leaving the room. It was quiet for just a minute before Amber spoke up.

"Should we tell him during or after dinner?"

"After. Just in case he freaks out, he can do it in private" her better half nodded. "I wonder what he will say and how he will react, it is making me nervous."
