Jin Ling x Original Character
A fanfic about the book Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation (Mo Dao Zu Shi)
Follows the life of a nonbinary/trans masc child that was raised by Lan Wangji and grew up around the Lan clan juniors and Jin Ling.

Once again I would like to say thank you for reading my fanfic. To show my appreciation for you and the story itself I would like to share some notes and special things from the story that changed or didn't make the final cut.
1. THE STORY WAS SUPPOSED TO END AFTER BOOK THREE
- I originally planned to kill of Lan Tian at the end of book three, oop. :0
- I decided not to as while I was writing I felt like Lan Tian had more to share about their story and who they were. It didn't seem like their time to die, after that there was A LOT of restructuring. hehe : D
2. I HAD THREE OTHER ENDINGS FOR THE STORY
- not including Lan Tian's original death though.
-in one ending Lan Tian and Jin Ling went to the same high school and were the only two members of the radio club which grew their affection for each other.
- in another while in their original world Lan Tian lived with the Crimson Rain Sought Flower and helped him find Xie Lian, they also became supper OP and Jin Ling married a woman. I really liked it but it didn't feel like the right ending for Lan Tian and Jin Ling.
- in the third one, everyone died. There was a mass extinction, everyone went to the after life and got reincarnated into the modern world, I got too lazy to finish it tbh.
3. AFTER BOOK THREE I FORGOT ALL THE DETAILS OF THE STORY FROM EARLIER AND ENDED UP REREADING IT MULTIPLE TIMES BECAUSE I COULD NOT REMEBER LAN TIAN'S SWORD NAME FOR THE LIFE OF ME!!
- that ones pretty self explanatory, but I am happy to say no one ever put the sword up their ass. (I still remember reading that chapter in class... that was fun :/)
4. DID YOU NOTICE A CERTAIN CAMEO? RECOGNIZE A CHARACTER FROM ANOTHER MXTX STORY?
- at some point I read a fan theory or ten on how the MXTX books were all a part of the same universe and thus the Hua Cheng cameo was conceptualized. This was really fun for me because I love TGCF too and was super excited when I got the idea on how to incorporate the two.
- the scenes with Hua Cheng were both the hardest and most exciting parts for me to write because I wanted his entrance and exits to be as seamless as possible, which is a lot of work. At one point he was a dragon, another he was literally just a giant butterfly and so on. It was tough but felt very rewarding tbh.
5. I DO HAVE ART DRAW BY ME OF LAN TIAN I WAS JUST TOO SCARED TO SHARE IT BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT LOOKED BAD SO NOW ADDING ALL THE ART HERE
-please don't roast me :)) -do not worry though I will not be dropping my main side quest of writing lol.

6. I ADDED SOME SECTIONS THAT I ENDED UP CHANGING OR CUTTING IN THE FINAL SIDE STORY CHAPTER FOR THOSE WHO ARE INTERESTED
7. QUICK SURVEY TIME
-Do you prefer a shorter chapter (like part 1, part 2, part 3) released more frequently (say every week), or longer chapter (more condensed) but released further apart (once every 3-4 weeks)?
[It's really just to satisfy my curiosity but, will also be accounted for when I do projects in the future.]
-Would it be appealing if I had an email or social media platform for readers to send messages/questions/fanart/requests to me and each other, or so I can send out updates, art or WIP to readers? If so, got any recommendations?
