"momma i look like somebody old ass auntie." i grumbled looking at the pictures. she swung on me and hit me in my head so i huffed. goodness. "why i have to wear that red?"

"because it's the theme giselle." she gritted. i rolled my eyes shaking my head and just let them do them. this is why i don't let them take pictures of me and stuff. they can leave it to my little sister.

i'm over it. i let them doll me up and do my hair, i even put on a dress at some point.....

"now you gon on. your dad is waiting for you."

"see? and now you about to make me go to some stupid event. it's always something."

"go." she bucked at me and i huffed leaving out. my dad was waiting on me as she said, with solo on his hip. they both smiled real big while waving but i wasn't feeling it.

"aw put a smile on your face chicken."

"daddy them pictures so ugly."

"i bet they aren't. i'm sure you look cute." he grabbed my cheek and i smacked his hand down. "now where is your mother?"

"she said you were waiting on me, i guess she's not coming."

"like hell she ain't. she better bring her ass." he started towards the building and i leaned against the car. i threw my head back with a whine just thinking about those pictures being all over. mama set me up.

she said it was a real casual thing and i didn't have to do much. when i got here i was put in the beauty room and had to do hella. mama did my hair and all that but still....i had to wear a dress!! i love dresses but it's the type of dress.

"matthew i wasn't even long."

"well celestine if i hadn't come get you ain't no telling how long we would've been out here."

"oh shush. you just so impatient."

"it's hotter than cow balls and you expected us to sit out here."

mama childishly mocked him as he opened her for door for her to get in. he bent down to buckle in the seatbelt getting all in her face. i'm not sure what he whispered but it made her smile.

"daddy i'm you angel!" solo pointed in her chest with a frowned up face. he chuckled agreeing with her before coming around to the other side putting solo in. "bey bey daddy say i his angel too like mommy."

"let's work on acting like it alright?"

"that'll be a lot of work. get in." daddy gestured for me to get in the car so i did. he closed the door, getting in the drivers seat next and pulling off from the huge building.

him and mama talked the whole time while i focused out the window. i wonder what kind of event this is. there's always something different. only thing i wish it isn't, is the one where they have girls standing on the stage.
