i already knew what this call would lead to. just by the tone of my baby's voice, it was obvious. princess getting me in trouble and i can't even save myself from my girlfriend. i'm not gonna try to either.
"where you at? and if you lie to me..."
"i'm not gonna lie." i sat up off the couch and went to the other room cause of the loud music. princess cringed along with nai making me shake my head. they know we fucked up. not only is she about to get on my ass, she's getting on their asses next.
"so where you at?"
"i'm with princess and nai."
"ain't they with some niggas?"
"yea."
"so why you with them?"
"they asked me to come and-"
"onika...are they in relationships?"
"no." i looked down. well they are but it's not like ours. it felt like she was right in my face scolding me. i'm not a liar and i belive in honesty when it comes to relationships, so i rather tell her the truth.
"so they doing single shit...why you doing single shit like you one of them?"
"i'm not doing anything, i'm just with them."
"you don't have to be doing anything for eyes to be on you. for people to be plotting on you. onika i was one of them people and i heard the shit other people were saying....get home. now."
"i rode with nai here and i know she's not gonna leave." she will if i tell her but i don't wanna ruin their fun just cause i made a mistake.
"here i come." she hung up and i sighed heavily. hopefully she understands that i'm not messing over on her whatsoever. literally the only reason i came to this...gathering was because princess begged me to.
she didn't tell me it would be full of guys though. i'm not even sure how beyoncé knew. one of them must've posted on their story what was going on...now that i think...only way bey could've known is if i was in the video.

i went back to the room staring at them.
"so who posted something?"
"girl i forgot you was all booed up and stuff. literally it clicked when beyoncé replied to the story with eyes."
"oh my goodness and you didn't even tell me?"
"i forgot babe..i'm sorry." nai was the one. she's so slow, i knew she really forgot. i could tell she genuinely forgot so i chuckled grabbing my purse.
"well she's about to come get me. she's mad."

"mmmhm." i sighed going towards the window to see if she was there. the sound of heavy base came before i even seen her so i stepped out on the porch.
