Author's Pov:

Despite the jovial atmosphere surrounding him, Ashwin remained silent, his gaze fixed on his watch as he silently counted down the minutes until he could escape the confines of the Antil family home. The laughter and conversation that filled the room seemed to blur into background noise as he wrestled with his own internal turmoil.

Anshika, sensing Ashwin's unease, cast a concerned glance in his direction, her brow furrowing with worry. She had noticed his growing restlessness throughout the evening, his attempts to mask his discomfort with forced smiles and polite conversation. And though she couldn't quite decipher the source of his agitation, she couldn't shake the nagging feeling that something was amiss.

As the evening wore on, Ashwin's impatience grew, his mind consumed with thoughts of escape. He longed to break free from the suffocating confines of social niceties and familial obligations, to retreat to the solitude of his own thoughts where he could grapple with the whirlwind of emotions that threatened to overwhelm him.

Anshika, her intuition sharpened by years of navigating social dynamics and interpersonal relationships, approached Ashwin with a gentle touch, her voice soft with concern. "Are you alright, Ashwin?" she inquired, her eyes searching his for any sign of vulnerability.

Ashwin hesitated, his mask of indifference slipping for a brief moment as he met Anshika's gaze. In that fleeting instant, she glimpsed the turmoil that lay beneath the surface—the uncertainty, the fear, the longing for escape. And though he quickly regained his composure, the vulnerability he had revealed lingered between them like an unspoken truth.

"I'm fine," he replied curtly, his tone betraying the strain of his emotions. "Just tired, I suppose. It's been a long day."

Anshika nodded in understanding, her empathy tempered with a sense of resignation. She knew better than to press him further, to delve into the depths of his inner turmoil without invitation. And so, with a silent nod of acknowledgment, she retreated, allowing him the space he so desperately craved.

As the evening drew to a close, Ashwin bid his farewells with a polite smile, his mind already racing with plans for his impending departure. He exchanged pleasantries with Anshika and her family, his words tinged with a sense of detachment as he prepared to make his exit.

And as he stepped out into the cool night air, the weight of the evening's events still heavy upon his shoulders, Ashwin couldn't help but feel a pang of regret. Regret for the walls he had built around himself, for the barriers he had erected to shield himself from the vulnerability of human connection. But amidst the regrets and the uncertainties. They all sat in their respective cars and drove to home!

At Singhania's mansion

As Ashwin retreated to the sanctuary of his room, the weight of the evening's events settled heavily upon his shoulders. His mind churned with a tumult of conflicting emotions as he grappled with the reality of his impending marriage to Anshika.

Seated alone in the dimly lit confines of his room, Ashwin's thoughts turned inward, his expression inscrutable as he wrestled with the turmoil that raged within him. The memory of his encounter with Anshika on the road echoed in his mind, a stark reminder of the animosity and resentment that had once existed between them.

Despite the warmth and laughter that had filled the Antil family home, Ashwin couldn't shake the sense of unease that gnawed at his conscience. The prospect of sharing his life with a woman he barely knew filled him with a sense of apprehension and uncertainty, his thoughts consumed by the fear of the unknown.

As he stared blankly at the walls that surrounded him, Ashwin made a silent vow to himself—a vow to keep Anshika at arm's length, to shield her from the depths of his own inner turmoil. He resolved to maintain a facade of indifference, to distance himself from the intimacy and vulnerability that came with opening his heart to another.

"I hate women" he wispered to himself.

With a heavy sigh, Ashwin sank onto his bed, the weight of his decisions pressing down upon him like a suffocating blanket. In the solitude of his room, surrounded by the echoes of his own thoughts, he grappled with the realization that perhaps, just perhaps, the walls he had built around himself were not as impenetrable as he had once believed.

And as he drifted into a fitful sleep, haunted by the specter of uncertainty that loomed over his future, Ashwin couldn't help but wonder if, somewhere amidst the tangled web of emotions and obligations

Next morning:

The next morning greeted Ashwin with a soft light filtering through the curtains, casting a gentle glow across his room as he stirred from his slumber. With a deep breath, he rose from his bed, feeling a renewed sense of purpose coursing through his veins.

After freshening up and exchanging pleasantries with his family over breakfast, Ashwin made his way to the office, his mind focused and determined. Throughout the day, he immersed himself in his work, tackling important meetings and projects with a quiet confidence that belied the inner turmoil he still grappled with.

As the hours passed, Ashwin's thoughts occasionally drifted back to the events of the previous evening, his mind replaying snippets of conversation and shared laughter with a sense of wistful nostalgia.  Yet, amidst the cacophony of voices and responsibilities clamoring for his attention, he pushed aside any lingering doubts or uncertainties, burying them beneath a veneer of professional composure.

"I won't ever accept her! even if my family already did! I will surely tell her after our marriage that she should never ever expect anything from him especially 'Love' " He whispered to himself and started attending all the important meetings left! with Viyaan and his team.

Late into the evening, as the last traces of daylight faded from the sky, Ashwin finally made his way home, his steps weary but resolute. The familiar warmth of his family's embrace welcomed him back, offering solace and reassurance in the face of the challenges that lay ahead.

Seated once again at the dining table, surrounded by the comforting presence of his loved ones, Ashwin found himself drawn into the lively chatter and laughter that filled the room. For a fleeting moment, the weight of his burdens seemed to lift, replaced by a sense of belonging and camaraderie that eased the ache in his heart.

And as he retired to his room at the end of the day,  he surrendered to the embrace of sleep, knowing that whatever challenges lay ahead.
