Chand lamhe tere saath bitane hain,
tujh se mohabbat mein rishte nibhane hain,jo apni zindagi mein khushiyan mangi thi maine,
sab teri mohabbat mein pane hain.
Ashwin's pov:
As we pulled up outside our family home, a sense of trepidation settled over me like a shroud. How would our loved ones react to the sight of Ashlyn in such a vulnerable state? How could we explain the turmoil that had brought us to this point without causing them undue worry?
With a deep breath, I gently roused Ashlyn from her slumber, whispering words of reassurance as she blinked drowsily up at me. Viyaan glanced back at us from the driver's seat, his expression a mirror of my own inner turmoil.
As we stepped out of the car and made our way towards the front door, I couldn't shake the feeling of dread that gnawed at my insides. How would our family react to the sight of Ashlyn in such a fragile state? Would they be able to see past the facade of strength we had so carefully constructed and recognize the pain that lay beneath?
With a heavy heart, I pushed open the door and stepped inside, bracing myself for whatever lay ahead. Our family greeted us with a mixture of relief and concern, their expressions shifting as they took in the sight of Ashlyn leaning heavily against me.
"What happened?" my mother exclaimed, her eyes widening in alarm as she rushed forward to offer Ashlyn support.
I exchanged a brief glance with Viyaan, silently acknowledging the weight of the secret we carried between us. How could we explain the truth without causing our family undue distress? How could we protect them from the knowledge of the darkness that lurked just beyond their sight?
As Ashlyn was led away to rest, I found myself grappling with the weight of our shared burden. How could I shield her from the pain that threatened to consume us both? How could I be the source of strength she needed when my own resolve was on the verge of crumbling?
With a heavy heart, I followed Ashlyn upstairs.
As we ascended the staircase, the weight of the situation seemed to press down upon us with every step. Ashlyn leaned on me for support, her movements slow and unsteady, as if each movement required a monumental effort.
In the quiet of the hallway, away from the prying eyes of our family, I paused for a moment to gather my thoughts. How could I comfort Ashlyn when my own heart was heavy with worry? How could I find the strength to be the pillar of support she needed when I felt as though I was on the verge of breaking?
Taking a deep breath, I wrapped an arm around Ashlyn's waist, offering her what little solace I could in that moment. With a gentle squeeze, I wordlessly conveyed my love and support, silently promising to be there for her no matter what challenges lay ahead.
Together, we made our way to our bedroom, the familiar surroundings offering a sense of sanctuary in the midst of chaos. As Ashlyn settled onto the bed, I hovered nearby, unsure of what more I could do to ease her pain.
In the dim light of the room, Ashlyn looked small and vulnerable, her features drawn with exhaustion and despair. My heart ached at the sight of her suffering, knowing that I was powerless to take away her pain.
Sitting beside her, I reached out to brush a stray lock of hair from her face, my touch gentle and tender. "I'm here for you, Ashlyn," I murmured softly, my voice barely more than a whisper. "Whatever you need, I'm here."
