Author's pov:
Anshika scolded herself inwardly, chastising her own vulnerability and foolishness for allowing fleeting moments of disappointment to affect her. She questioned why she should feel sad, reminding herself that she had never expected anything more from Ashwin. Their marriage was merely a formality, devoid of any genuine emotional connection. With a resolute shake of her head, she pushed aside the lingering sadness, reaffirming her determination to focus on her own goals and aspirations, independent of any expectations tied to her marital status.

As Ashwin stepped out of the plane onto the bustling floor of London's airport, a wave of excitement mixed with exhaustion washed over him. The air felt different here, carrying the unmistakable scent of adventure and opportunity. Amidst the throng of travelers, his eyes caught sight of a familiar figure darting toward him with boundless energy.
"Oye, Ash!" Yuvan's voice cut through the clamor of the airport, drawing closer with each bounding step. Ashwin's face lit up in a rare smile as he spotted his childhood best friend weaving through the crowd towards him.
"Yuvan!" Ashwin exclaimed, spreading his arms wide in anticipation of their long-awaited reunion. The two friends embraced warmly, the years melting away in an instant as they shared a heartfelt hug.
Yuvan returned the embrace with equal fervor, his grin widening as he clapped Ashwin on the back. "Arrey bhai, it's been too long!! Look at you, all grown up and fancy. Who would've thought the shy kid from our neighborhood would be strutting through Heathrow like he owns the place?"
The two friends shared a hearty laugh, their camaraderie as strong as ever despite the years that had passed since they last saw each other. As they made their way through the bustling crowds, Yuvan couldn't resist teasing Ashwin about his seemingly charmed existence.
Yuvan exclaimed, clapping Ashwin on the back. "London mein kaisa lag raha hai? (How do you feel in London?)"
Ashwin chuckled, feeling a sense of camaraderie flood back to him at Yuvan's familiar banter. "Bilkul naya hai, yaar. Par kuch alag sa lag raha hai, (Brand new, man. but something seems different) " he replied, glancing around at the bustling airport terminal.
Yuvan nodded understandingly, his eyes twinkling with excitement. "Don't worry, bhai. Main hoon na, sab sambhal lunga! (Don't worry bro, I am here, I will take care of everything!)" he declared with a grin.
The two friends fell into an easy rhythm of conversation as they navigated their way through the airport, swapping stories and catching up on each other's lives. Yuvan regaled Ashwin with tales of his latest adventures, his animated gestures punctuating each anecdote with infectious enthusiasm.
"Ash, tu yeh London trip ke liye kitna excited tha? (Ash, how excited were you for this London trip?)" Yuvan asked, curiosity gleaming in his eyes.
Ashwin shrugged, a faint smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Pata nahi, yaar. (I don't know buddy) It's just another business trip for me," he admitted, the weight of his responsibilities pressing down on him even in this moment of camaraderie.
Yuvan frowned, sensing the underlying tension in Ashwin's words. "Come on, bhai. Don't be so serious! London toh ek naya adventure hai, enjoy kar na! (London is a new adventure, enjoy!)" he urged, slapping Ashwin playfully on the back.
