Author's pov:

As Ashwin's fingers continued to tap away on the keyboard, his mind wandered through a maze of conflicting emotions. The room was filled with an uneasy tension, each passing moment weighed down by the weight of unspoken words and unresolved tension. Suddenly, as if pulled from the depths of his contemplation, Ashwin's lips parted, his voice barely above a whisper as he uttered Anshika's name.

Anshika, her attention momentarily diverted from the task of removing the pins from her hair, turned to face Ashwin, her gaze soft yet searching. There was a palpable sense of anticipation in the air as their eyes met, a silent exchange passing between them as they grappled with the unspoken truths lingering just beneath the surface.

For a fleeting moment, Ashwin hesitated, his gaze flickering between Anshika and the floor as he struggled to find the right words. Sensing his hesitation, Anshika offered him a reassuring smile, her eyes filled with understanding. With a gentle nod, she returned her focus to the task at hand, though her thoughts remained tethered to the man before her.

But then, as if compelled by an unseen force, Ashwin spoke again, his voice tinged with a hint of desperation. "Anshika, please..." he began, his words trailing off into a heavy silence. There was a plea in his tone, a desperate longing to shield himself from the vulnerability of her gaze.

Anshika's smile faltered, a flicker of concern crossing her features as she observed the turmoil brewing within him. With a soft sigh, she nodded in acquiescence, her eyes brimming with unspoken empathy.

As Ashwin finally found the courage to voice the thoughts that had been weighing heavily on his heart, his words hung in the air like a heavy fog. "I'm not interested in you or this marriage," he confessed, the bitterness in his tone palpable. "I did this for the family, and you shouldn't expect anything from me, no matter what."

Anshika's heart ached at his words, though she refused to let her pain show. With a quiet dignity, she offered him her thanks, her voice steady despite the tumult raging within her. "Thank you, Ashwin," she replied softly, her words laced with a bittersweet irony. "Thank you for such a wonderful wedding gift."

But as Ashwin's harsh truth echoed in the silence between them, Anshika found herself unable to remain silent any longer. With a quiet resolve, she lifted her chin, her gaze meeting his in a silent challenge. "I never wanted you as a husband, Ashwin," she confessed, her words a gentle rebuke to his callousness. "And after that fight, I never want to see you again."

With that, she turned away, her eyes fixed on the mirror before her, though her heart felt heavy with the weight of her unspoken pain. And as the silence settled over them once more, Anshika found solace in the knowledge that she had spoken her truth, even in the face of heartbreak and disappointment.

Anshika's pov:

I never expected that! I never ever expected that he will do that shit again! The same shit that he did on the road! He won't change of course...! and damn stop being that bechari(helpless) anshika. That's nothing of course. You got your family and this new family too. They are all damn good and loving towards you what the hell you want now? Be yourself girl!! Of course you are a independent women. There is no need of a loving husband and after all that's so cringe isn't it!
So from now on be yourself as you were before this guy already told you that you should not expect anything from him so that's enough! I won't expect anything from him and nor I ever did Of course.
