Chapter 21

So, let's get started... 

Days went by, each one more difficult than the last. Meera's pain only seemed to increase, making it harder to watch her writhe in discomfort. The condition of Veer wasn't good either; due to the constant pain in her breasts, she couldn't hold him as much as she wanted to. Veer couldn't cope without being embraced by Meera and would cry with sobs and hiccups—an unbearable sight for everyone.

Meera tried to hold him with Vihan's support once, but the pain was too much, causing her to cry out. This only made Veer panic more. Seeing her like this, Vihan knew he had to have a conversation with the doctor about her pain.

Vihan stepped aside to make the call, making sure that neither Meera nor anyone else could hear him.

Ring ring ring...

D: Hello... Dr. XYZ here..

V: Hello, doctor. This is Vihan Raichand. I wanted to talk about Meera's condition.

D: Oh yes, Mr. Raichand. What happened? Is there anything concerning?

V: Yes, doctor. Meera is in severe pain and is unable to cope.

D: Mr. Raichand, as we discussed earlier, I suggested that massage is a good solution for her pain. Since it's been a while since she last lactated after Veer's birth, that's why it's painful for her. You can give her a massage because we can't suggest any medicine as she's already on lactation medication.

Vihan becomes numb hearing this but snaps out of it at the sound of the doctor's voice.

V: Yeah, yeah, doctor. I'll keep that in mind. Thank you

Vihan watched as Meera moved towards the room slowly, trying to avoid any pain. Her face, however, showed otherwise, and Veer looked at Meera with a sad face and teary eyes.

Vihan picked Veer up and followed Meera towards the room. Meera laid on the bed sideways and saw Vihan with Veer coming in. Seeing Veer's face, her eyes welled up, and she gestured for Vihan to give her Veer.

Vihan slowly lowered Veer into her arms, and Veer quickly snuggled in closer, hiding his face in her and grabbing onto her with his small hands. Meera slowly eased him and took him into her warm embrace. She placed uncountable kisses on Veer's head and face, making him giggle, and she smiled hearing his giggles.

M (while caressing Veer): My baby... Mumma has troubled you a lot, hasn't she, my little love?

She places a loud kiss on his chubby cheek and adds

M: Sorry, baby... Mumma is really sorry. Mumma couldn't pick you up, but soon we'll do all the fun and mischief again, my love... My little one...

She snuggles him closer, and he slowly drifts off to sleep.

Seeing him sleeping.. Meera smiles softly and vihan is watching all this with his soft eyes...

Vihan thinks to tell Meera about doctors suggestions but he is hesitant about telling her.. Its her privacy which they are talking about.. and vihan know this about well but it's about Meera so she has the right to know but rest will be her decision..

He calls Meera in a hesitant voice. Seeing him hesitate, Meera's full attention is now on him.

M: Vihan ji, please tell me, what happened?

V: Umm... I spoke to the doctor about your increasing pain... and he...

Meera raises her eyebrows, signaling him to continue.

M: Go on, please tell me.

V: He... he said that the solution to reduce your pain is massage.

She gasps hearing him. She understands his intentions are clear, but she wonders how she can let him massage her, especially at such intimate areas. She looks at him, and he is already looking at her with hesitant eyes.
