Chapter 14

So let's get started...

Meera enters the living room with him and decides to wake Veer up and starts his routine. She lovingly whispers in a soft voice in his ear, "Veer bacha, wake up, baby..." He stirs lightly, but didn't wake up. She says again, "Veer, my cute baby... wakey wakey, love..." He slowly opens his eyes and gives her a sleepy smile, giving her a sloppy kiss on her neck. She chuckles and showers him with soft kisses on his face. He giggles and hides his face in hers. She moves to Vihan's room, bathes Veer, and makes him wear clothes.

After making him ready, she moves to her room and calls Rita (helper) to bring Veer's baby food and his toys from Vihan's room. Within 10 minutes, all the toys and food are placed in Meera's room. Meera quickly feeds him his breakfast and after burping him, she moves towards the balcony of her room. She sits with Veer there so he can breathe some fresh air and absorb some sunlight. Later, she moves back into the room and lies down with Veer. She tries to make him talk, and he says some words like "daddaa," "mumma," which he recently started saying.

There are also some more words which are not understandable in his dictionary.

So she thought to teach him some more... While laying with him on her bed, she faces towards him and asks him to say "daddiii..."

Meera: "Veer betu, say daaa," and he complies in his baby voice. She further asks him to say "diii..." Like this, she teaches him saying "daaddii." She repeats these words and he repeats with her. Likewise, she teaches him saying "daadu," "fish," "mum" (pani), "dudhu" (milk).

She saw its late afternoon and decides to make him eat something and then it's time for his nap. She calls Rita (helper) and asks her to bring his bottle along with mashed fruit. After some time, she finishes making him eat his food, and his eyes start drooping. She takes him in her embrace, lies down on the bed, and covers them with a duvet. She slowly drifts to sleeps with Veer in her embrace, both looking like an adorable mother and son duo. Rita, the helper, comes to take the leftovers and coos seeing an adorable scene, leaving them sleeping with a smile on her face.

After napping for some time, Meera opens her eyes and looks at the watch. Her eyes widen seeing the time, 5:00 PM. She and Veer slept for a long time, she thinks, slowly caressing his cheeks and with some kisses, she wakes Veer who giggles feeling kisses on his face. Meera goes to the living room and places Veer on the floor, and he happily crawls here and there.

With quiet steps, Vihan and his parents enter the mansion to surprise Meera and Veer. Their ears are filled with the happy, loud giggles of Veer and Meera. They enter with a smile and see Meera sitting on the carpet with Veer in her lap, blowing raspberries on his stomach, which earns her loud laughs and giggles from Veer. Veer then moves towards Meera and tries to blow raspberries on her neck with his saliva all over her neck, and she giggles feeling ticklish.

Vihan comes near them and taps Meera on the shoulder. She looks at him in wonder and says, "What are you doing here?" He chuckles and replies, "If I doesn't come home, where else will I go after work, hmm?" She chuckles embarrassingly and looks towards Gayatri & Abhimanyu, who shakes their heads at their banter. Meera sits on the other sofa. Vihan takes Veer in his arms, and Meera wipes her neck and chest with the pallu of her saree and playfully narrows her eyes at Veer, who laughs looking at her. Vihan smiles, looking at them, and hides his face in Veer's neck and relaxes. Veer pats his head in happiness, and Gayatri & Abhimanyu chuckle. The helpers bring water for them and take their sips. Veer tries to take the glass of water from Vihan, and Vihan immediately takes the glass out of his reach. He looks at Vihan with complaining eyes and everyone chuckles. Seeing everyone laughing, Veer smiles shyly and looks at Meera with puppy eyes. She extends her glass towards him and lets him take a sip from her glass. He hurriedly cups the glass, and her eyes widen. She also cups the glass over his hands and huffs a breath.
