Irked.
"I'm surprised you've been hidden away in some ruins for so long. Did you ever want to meet other people?" Aether asked curiously. "Hi, Verr Goldet, two rooms please."
"Of course." She smiled processing it,
"I merely wished to... avenge my family, dragging innocent people into my problems was never my intention." Yue responded.
"Huh, so that's it Paimon was wondering how you came to know Lumine. Will you tell us?"
"Um.."
"Ahaha, Paimon, let's give him some time before asking things like that." Aether chuckled.
Bothered beyond reason.
"Why don't you get some rest? Traveling here took a bit so it's best to just relax a while. Why don't we visit the harbor next? I'm sure you'll find something interesting to occupy your mind." Aether walked up the stairs first and Paimon floated up ahead.
"Alright. We can go together." He got up to the top and noticed Aether was distracted and looked seeing who he looked at. The person who easily disabled him from battle. Weary of him he whispered to Aether. "Do you truly trust him?"
"Hm? Oh you mean Xiao? Ah, guess you guys didn't formally meet. He did beat you up pretty good."
"D-do you have to put it that way?"
"Hey, don't worry, Xiao's really strong, it would have been weirder if he lost." Paimon shrugged.
"Are you saying it was expected??" He felt offended.
"Come on, why don't I introduce you properly?" Aether took him by the wrist to go greet Xiao.
"Perhaps I shouldn't-"
"Xiao~!" Even Paimon went.
He turned seeing Paimon, then Aether, but as his eyes set on Yue they darkened into a cold glare. "Uh..." Yue sighed.
"Xiao, you left so fast." Aether said all smiles,
Paimon took the liberty of introducing them, "Xiao, this is Yue! The guy you beat up before, you remember?"
"Hm," he averted his eyes showing clear disinterest, "of course."
"H-how cold..." Yue felt offended again.
"Yue, this is one of the Adepti that live in Liyue. Adeptus Xiao, don't let him fool you, he's really strong!"
"I learned that first hand.. I should try to make amends." He was determined to do so and bowed respectfully, "A pleasure, Adeptus Xiao. I hope we can get along and put the obstacles behind us."
"Hmph." He turned away. "If that is all, I was meditating."
"Oh, right," Aether smiled, "Paimon why don't you help Yue get settled in? I'll be up in a minute."
"Ok!" She nodded agreeing as she took the keys he handed her. "C'mon Yue, Paimon will show you the ropes! You'll never get lost with Paimon as your guide!"
"Sure." He went along.
When they left, Aether looked to Xiao who had closed his eyes to meditate. He smiled and stepped in front of him pulling Xiao's arms from being crossed. He placed himself in them and wrapped them around himself hugging Xiao after.
"Is something wrong?"
"No, I just wanted to hug you." Aether relaxed at last. "Do you trust him?" He wanted to know truthfully.
Xiao didn't answer closing his eyes again.
"I don't know how to feel..."
He knew what he talked about. Xiao comforted him and held him close.
