"Aha, um?" Aether stepped back to the rail, "Xiao, is there something wro-mn.." his attention was fully grasped when Xiao leaned in kissing him deeply. An arm wrapped loosely around his torso, a curious hand touching his lower back to hold him. Gentle touches along his spine made him shudder as Xiao's touch felt ticklish, yet quite enough to make him flustered. "Ah-"

"His body is getting warmer." Xiao persisted sliding his hand slowly up the back of Aether's top. "He's honest."

With his mind slipping, Aether wrapped his arms around Xiao's neck enticed by the thought of this continuing. The wet tongue that pushed its way into his mouth soon surprised him bringing about a reaction he quite expected but felt embarrassed of. "Ngh-ah! X-Xiao wait-" but once again he persisted, even as Aether tried, very weakly to, resist, "ah!" His voice escaped when a curious hand had slipped under his top rubbing a finger against his now erect nipple. Aether's face grew bright red quickly and he stared at Xiao who seemed intrigued. "Y-you're being really touchy today!" Aether saw the opportunity to move Xiao's hand and did so, "N-not that I mind but-!" He twitched when Xiao pressed a pressure point on his back making him fully lean into Xiao. "?!" Confused as to what his intentions were, Aether stared baffled.

"Hm. It has been some time since your last visit." Xiao lifted him onto the rail letting him sit but stood between his legs so he wouldn't close them. "Perhaps you should rest before your next adventure?"

".... Y-you missed me?" Aether asked holding Xiao's face in his hands, when Xiao made a face averting his eyes, Aether forgot about his predicament and smiled widely, "Aw, Xiao!" He shoved Xiao's face in his chest hugging him. "You could have just said so! I really thought you were gonna eat me..." he mumbled the last part but continued smiling happily, "I'll take a break for a little while. I actually came just for that, Paimon wanted to spend time with some of our friends so we decided to stay for a bit."

"...." listening to him was relieving, Aether looked and sounded fine, but that sound he had heard from touching him was too interesting. Aether's body wasn't as hot anymore as he seemed to calm down from their conversation.

"Haa, I have to meet Ninguang tomorrow morning, I really should get some sleep." Aether sighed, "Her secretaries asked me to make a schedule for her, so I did my best and now I have to go along with her."

"Is that troublesome?"

"No, that's not what I mean, just... I sort of wanted to stay here." Aether's smile was tender now as he touched Xiao's cheek. "I missed you too." Kissing him lovingly Aether chuckled, "I wish you could come with me everywhere. That would be nice."

"..." a kind thought, but Xiao knew otherwise.

"..... Has your karmic debt been better?"

He stared at the sad gold eyes and sighed leaning to Aether's gentle touch. Taking his hand and kissing his palm he answered, "It has. The pain is less excruciating."

"And that urge?"

"It has not appeared since then."

"Ah, that's good to hear!" He was happy again, "That was really strange, but you didn't really bite me that hard either. Was that on purpose?"

"....."

"You don't have to hold back, I can handle pain - er, well, some anyway."

"It is not your responsibility to bear."

"Mm... but it is." Aether sighed understanding his resolve, but felt hurt he wasn't trusted enough. "Xiao we're together now. I want to bear your burdens with you. Is.. is that so bad?" Sad again, Xiao stared at him.
