"... I was wondering when you would get here." Dolores said to Lucia as she arrived at the lake house.
"The traffic was bad this morning... I am here now..." Lucia said, she never took offence to her employers words or the way that she spoke to her sometimes. It was just a job to Lucia, she knew she was better than that.
She walked in and saw Leaford sitting at the kitchen island eating breakfast. "Lucia." He said with a smile.

"Mr Leaford.. it's good to see you... for a second I didnt think they would let you out this time.." she smiled.
"Oh you know me.. I don't go down that easily.." he winked. Lucia actually go on well with and liked Mr Leaford. He had time for her, he was a gentleman with her, and she knew that he had a rough ride with Dolores. She was demanding, a drama queen and she liked things her way. Lea was definitely a little more happy go lucky than that.
"Lucia... I need to talk to you for a second. Can you come into the office..."
Leaford tapped his own wrist mockingly as if she was about to be told off, which made Lucia smile. She followed Dolores to the office and walked inside. Dolores stayed leaning against the desk. "shut the door behind you.." she told her and folded her arms across her chest, looking at her with a straight face. "I hear that you were here at the lake house yesterday, when Mr Taylor was here, our business associate.."
"Yes Mrs Leaford... you asked me to come up here to clean the place and that was what I did... he arrived when I wasn't expecting anyone else to be here." She told her honestly.
"I Don't want you around our business associates... For your own sake, the less that you know about our business the better..."
"but surely as a Personal Assistant my job is to know your business, Mrs Leaford?"
"Please don't get smart with me Lucia, if anything like that happens again and Hadyn Taylor is here alone with you. I would expect you to vacate the premises... do I make myself clear?."
"Yes Mrs Leaford.. understood" she said.
"now, I need to head back to the city and handle some business. I need you to return to the city and run some errands for me once you've tidied the lake house" she said to her with a smile.
They both left the office and Dolores immediately took her car keys from the side and headed out, without even saying goodbye to her husband.
"Has she gone?" Lea said to Lucia.
"Yes Mr Leaford...
"thank fuck for that" he said with a smile. "Why don't you take a seat with me have some breakfast... She has you running around here there and everywhere for her. I don't know how you do it Lucia.."
"You both pay me well Mr Leaford... and she doesn't offend me, I'm not easily offended, but I don't understand why as her personal assistant I'm not allowed to know the nature of her business..."
