The Next Step

Ruby continued to march by along with the Skeleton King back inside the camp after the raid. 

As they did the King looked back to see the Skeletons now dragging the Sacks back into the camp though with annoyed looks on their faces. 

"Well my queen i must say impressed." The Skeleton King said "I don't think ive seen skeletons annoyed like that before."

"Wow...." Ruby said "thanks."

"Well it serves those bastards right for being useless pieces of shit, pretty sure none of them could wipe their own asses probably without being told so and they would still fuck it up." The King said with a growl 

"Yeah....yeah." Ruby said 

The King could hear the dullness in her voice and it made him quite concerned. 

And so he turned to face her asking "My Queen....are you okay."

Ruby went wide eyed "Oh yeah...im good...real good even." 

The King didn't look convinced as he said "Yeah i don't believe that for a second, what's wrong."

Again Ruby look at him wide eyed and with a smile as she shook her head "Nothing, nothing its all good."

The King again did not look convinced at all and simply gave her a pat on the back saying "Don't let them get to you, it can be a lot leading these band of morons but...eventually they will fall in line..one way or the other." 

However while Ruby knew the King meant the best when he said that, it painted a very different picture for Ruby.

The Picture of sort of Evil leader who kept control of their hordes through force and fear.

And that was something she never wanted to be, not in a hundred years.

But still she knew the King meant best and so responded with a small smile as she said "Thank you skeleton King."

"Of course." The Skeleton King said "Now what is it you need my queen."

Ruby looked at him before responding "We need to talk about what happened during that Raid Skeleton King."

The King was caught of guard by the anger in her tone as he asked "Oh..why is that my Queen."

"Come on, i will tell you." She said as she began to walk back to her tent The King following her 

*5 minutes later.*

Ruby arrived to to her tent along with the King after walking up the steep cliff side along with him. 

As they arrived to the area the Guards patrolling around her tent saluted her as she walked to them. 

"ALL HAIL THE DARK QUEEN!!!" They yelled with a salute 

Ruby saluted them back as she said "At ease you two." 

The Skeletons dropped their salute as they walked to the side allowing them inside. 

Ruby then let the Skeleton King enter the base. 

But then as she began to walk in she stopped looking to the two guards as she ordered them 

"Your both allowed to leave." She told them 

The Guards stopped looking at her confused "What....my queen." They said surprised at the request 

"You heard what i said you two." Ruby said back 

The Skeletons gave each other confused looks not quite understanding if the queen was being serious or not.
