It was not a better day.
Following the assination attempt and the exucation of Skell the Tribe seemd to be getting closer and closer to the Brink.
Even through the normal activities of the Tribe thier was a sent of distrust that lingered through through the tribe.
And even though thier was attempts to stem it, it was not looking good for the Tribe.
Ruby was back in her Tent after the incident practicing with her Ring trying to use its power more effectivly.
She was currently lifting up some Rocks even though she felt like her Wrists were on fire she pushed through the pain and continued to use its power to lift up the rocks.
"Not Bad Kiddo, your getting a hang of this." Aldrix said with a smile
"Thanks though..it kinda stinks in my Wrists..is...is that normal?" She asked
"Oh yeah...don't worry that happens every now and then it shouldn't be to bad." He said
They continued to work on her power though the Stinging was still ever presences and was hurting like a bitch.
But Ruby trusted Aldrix and continued to push through the pain and continued to work on her levitation abilities.
"Alright now just put it on the table." He told her
She nodded as she then moved to the Table lifting the Rocks on to it before landing them perfectly onto the table dropping them.
Then as she did she almost fell down with a gasp as the pain hit her like a truck in her wrist.
"Ow..Fffff..." She said with a wince almost loosing her cool as she said "That..hurt."
"Damn you almost swore....is this place starting to get to you already." He said
"No its just...." Ruby said "Is it gonna be like this every time i use the Ring?" She asked
"Uhhh...no no it shouldn't you just need to keep calm and cool and the pain should go away within the next few tries." He said reassuringly
"Okay." She said as she sat down "Cause a burning wrist is the last thing i need right now when everything else is already falling apart at the seems."
"Oh yeah..the Tribe...how is it anyway?" He asked
"How do you think." Ruby said "I just got word from Nox that the situation is heating up everywhere..everyone's stressed, everyone's tired and the Scale Kingdom is already hanging over my head and...its just starting to get worse and worse." She said with a sigh
"I know....but they haven't attacked yet so either their busy dealing with someone out side of the valley, they don't see us as worth the resources or their just waiting for us to kill our selves in the infighting." Aldrix said
"I don't even know which one of them is the best or worse results for us." Ruby said shaking her head
"I know it looks bad but even if its any of them ti better then them attacking...and that gives us a chance to bring ourselves back up..and get back in shape for when they do come." Aldrix said
"With what" Ruby asked "I mean look at us...we have barely got out of an assassination The Skeleton King is struggling to train new units without them just going back into the old days, Orcs and Skeletons still...hardly tolerate each other and everyone is rushing to get...Somthing off the ground, Nox is working his ass off trying to rebuild things, and Skalak has basically become our new lead black smith rebuilding what he can with what he has." Ruby said
