RWBY The Dark Queen

The Caves

Ruby crawled out of the cave she was hiding in as she took in the surrounding area. 

On the Ground she saw the place was covered in bodies both orc, Skeleton Goblin and Lizardmen, the place looked like it had seen a slaughter (Which it had).

Ruby Stood up as she took a moment to look around the carnage that had been caused. 

"Oh my god." Ruby muted to herself 

"Yeah...we did take a beating." Aldrix said as he looked around at the carnage 

"Well..what do we do now." Ruby said

"We regroup with who evers left." Aldrix said 

But this scared Ruby more then anything who said "What...."

"What." Aldrix said confused 

"But thier gonna want to Kill me, after i lost this battle." Ruby said 

This caused Aldrix to stop and stare for a moment confused as to why she said that, until he remembered the speech the other day. 

"Oh yeah they do want to kill you don't they, cause you lost the battle...right." Aldrix said like he was being reminded about Homework, while Ruby Just gave him an annoyed deadpanned stare 

"Yes Aldrix...they do just want to kill me now." Ruby said 

Aldrix gave it a thought about it before saying "Well would you rather take your chance with the others or would you rather have a guaranteed death with the Lizardmen." 

Ruby wasn't sure how to respond to that as she shuffled around concerned before saying "Uhh..i guess the Skeletons and others." 

"Perfect, then lets get the hell out of here, you can start by hiding as theirs a Lizardmen patrol coming right now." Aldrix said 

"What." Ruby said only to look to her Right and go wide eyed 

As In front of her was a small unit of Skinks with spears on the march laughing about the battle. 

"Oh Man that was amazing." One of the Skinks said 

"I know right...they were fucking useless." The Other chimed in laughing his ass off 

Ruby Was surprised and looked around in a panic before diving behind the Nearest Rock she could find. 

Ruby crawled up next to it praying to the lord Above she would not be found by the Skinks moving by. 

Meanwhile the Skinks continued moving by laughing and joking with each other as they did. 

"I Don't know if i have ever seen a line break as quickly as they did." The Skink said hounding with laughter said 

"Yeah..though to be fair only dinosaurs they have ever seen is the small lost one bastards...never come face to face with a damn t rex have they." Another Skink said 

"Well...but seriously seeing them all just break and route that Quickly...it was a sight to see I'll tell you that much."

"Yeah shame we're never gonna see that sight agaisnt when we crush that tribe into the dust and Put their Queens head on a pike." 

"Damn straight." The First one said "Now lets get back i heard they got worg steaks on."

"Oooooh.....Worg Steaks..my favourite." The Other Skink said as they headed back laughing as they did 

Ruby took a moment waiting until she was sure it was safe to come out And the Skinks were long gone. 

She waited until the sound of the Skinks voices were long gone until she took the chance to walk out looking around and making sure it was safe.
