Shailene POV- I pull up to the school. My kids are waiting on me. "Hey guys." I say once they are in. "Hey mommy." They say back. "So how was school.?" I ask them. They say nothing. Until Natalia speaks up. "Have you heard anything from daddy?" . "No sweetie I haven't ." I say. I look up in the rearview mirror . All of their heads have dropped. That's when I turn the car around. "Where are we going ?." Cleo asks."somewhere ."I say smiling. " I pull into the Ice cream parlor." We get inside. I order the whole family Ice cream. When we pull into the driveway. I see my mothers car. She comes running down the porch steps. "Hi honey." "Hi mom." She embraces me in a hug. "Hi dad ,hi tanner." Tanner is not even listening to me he has his ear buds in and is doing something on his phone. And dad is trying to carry bags in. "Lori ,I know you want to talk to our daughter but can't that wait."
My dad says. She nods her head. Once they get in Jason and Jack are already at my dads aid. "Here Mr.Woodley we got these." Jack says. "Jack you can call me Rick were family now." My dad says. "Well Hello Lori." Jane says. "Hello Jane." My mom says back. They go Chatter on about whatever they talk about. "So you guys will be staying downstairs." I tell Tanner.
"Yeah whatever." Tanner says. I roll my eyes. He walks down the stairs along with dad. I hear a slight weeping coming from the living Room. Its phoebe."what's wrong Sweetheart?" "Nothing its Just I miss my daddy." I pull her into a hug. "Its going to be okay." I tell her Rubbing her back. She smiles at me. She wraps her thin arms around me. "I love you Aunt Shai." "I love you too Phoebe." Later that night I decide while the family is Eating dinner. I go up to mine and Theo's room.I got marks number from Haley by lying but oh well. I dial the number and he picks up on the third ring. "Hello." "Yes is this mark ?" "Yes mam how may I assist you today?" "I don't need to be assisted to its your wife and Children that need to be." "I'm sorry you must have the wrong number who are you anyway?" "Shailene " "Shailene Who.?" "Theo's wife right?" "Correct." I say. "So what seems to be the problem?" He asks. After I explain to him everything going on He sounds like he is about to cry. "I'll catch a flight tonight." He says. "Thank you so much." I tell him. "You're welcome Shailene can't wait to meet you." "Same here." I say. After he hangs up I'm about to leave the room the phone rings. Its Theo. I pick it up. "Hey." "Hello good looking." He says. I smile at this. "I'm so sorry I haven't been talking to you in the past month Shailene." "Its fine Theo you have had to work I understand." "Thank you Shailene for being understanding." "You don't have to thank me Theo." "Yes I do, You are handling the whole household while I'm out filming movies." "Its okay Theo, I love you." "I love you too Shai." "Theo!" I hear someone yell in the background. "Listen have to go director is calling." He says. "Okay well I love you." I say. "Love you too, tell the kids I love them." "Okay." I say. And then I hear a click and he's gone.
