Chapter 30

Theo Pov- I am walking into a dark room and I see a figure crawling to me. "Theo!" Its shai. "Shai!" Her hands are tied up by chains. She has blood coming from her mouth. I run to her I am almost close when two hands drag her back. "Help me!" She yells. "I'm coming shai!" I follow her into another room there I see Ruth's sister Carly with a knife in hand she slides it across Shai's neck. Blood starts seeping from shai's neck. Her eyes roll to the back of head."No!" I yell."shai please!" Carly looks up at me with a sly smile."I warned you theo." She says.

End of Theo's dream.

Theo POV- I wake up in a unfamiliar room. I look around and notice its a hospital room.A nurse walks in.."Good your awake we thought you would never awake from your comma." She says. "How long Have I been out?" " A few weeks." She says
"Here." She hands me two pills."painkillers " she says as if she was reading my mind. I am so grateful she brought these in cause my head is pounding."I am going to get the doctor, You can just watch t.v if you want." "Okay." I reply. I pick up the remote. I start flipping through the Channels I usually don't watch the news cause its depressing as crap but today it looks good and for some odd reason they are showing Shai's movies on every channel. Except this one.That's when the door opens. I hope its the doctor so I can get the hell out of this place. Its Marcy. "Hey." She says. She is sniffling a lot. "Hi." I say back. After she comes in the whole family comes in except Shailene. And they are all sniffiling and crying."Whoa there Buddy you don't need to watch that." Jack says grabbing the remote and turning it the t.v off. I cross my arms."what is going on.?" I ask."She's gone Theo." Marcy says with her bottom lip trembling. "Who's gone?" "Shailene." Haley says."If you are trying to make a Joke -" "its not a Joke, See for yourself." Marcy says throwing the remote at me. I turn the news back on to find out. In the process of hearing the story about Shailene's death I feel tears rolling down my cheeks.

Theo POV - later after I get out of the hospital. I go to the wreck scene. There on a gurney lays Shailene her pale, Cold, Lifeless body."Shailene, I'm so sorry." I say to her I brush her hair back."I love you." I tell her. I hope she hears me.I look over at the paramedics." You didn't even try to save her." I say to them."Sir we tryed everything." The lady paramedic says. "I don't believe you!" I lunge at her when Jack pulls me back."Come on let's go." He says dragging me back. I lost everything today. That everything was shailene.
