He left her be that night, hoping the peace and space would apply some logic and clear thoughts to the situation. They both were heated, said somethings and he definitely made a stupid mistake. One he didn't think he would be able to earn forgiveness for. He slept on the sofa, leaving the bedroom to her. He didn't really sleep though, he was up all night. He had made the call to Kozik, ordering the man to get to the cabin because Kozik had a terrible report to give to Happy while he was out of town.
He heard the knock at the door and he stood up, still wearing yesterday's clothes due to being locked out of his bedroom. He unlocked and opened the front door to reveal his best friend. "You and me got a problem."
"Why? What happened? It's seven o'clock, why are you even up?" Kozik entered the home and followed Happy into the kitchen.
Happy started a pot of coffee first before he focused on Kozik again. "Well for starters, you idiot, she was with Gemma. Not that fool." He shook his head. "I'm also locked out right now, she's mad over being watched again and—." He trailed off and sighed heavily. "I accidentally hit her. I got angry, it wasn't good."
"You hit her? Man." Kozik shook his head slowly. "Since when do you do shit like that? Still haven't talked to her?"
Happy shook his head again. "Hell no, locked herself in there and I haven't heard a peep all night. I couldn't sleep, I was ill about it. I'll do some fucked up shit but put my hands on her? Nah."

It was late morning as he watched the cabin, he'd been watching it for a week now. He remembered two days ago, the tattooed biker came and the blonde followed minutes later. He noticed that neither of them had gone anywhere in those two days. He knew his chance was yet to come.
When he saw the front door open and the biker come out, he figured he was finally getting his chance. He hated the thought of someone else touching her. He hated the thought of someone else being close to her.
He watched the biker approach his Harley and sure enough - there went his chance. The blonde was out of the home next. Skinny jeans that were skin tight and a t-shirt. He knew she had to be teasing him. He love everything she wore.
He saw the pair exchange words before the biker mounted the bike before she did the same. He didn't like that one bit... He didn't like that someone else was allowed to be near Hanna. He knew he'd get his chance to act on his plan before long. But he was impatient.

The pair rode toward town, he finally got the blonde to talk and she even allowed him to clean up the mark he left. Her makeup covered the redness as best as possible but he knew that he wasn't forgiven. He knew he hadn't earned that back. He didn't know for sure if he could earn her forgiveness back. Her forgiveness could always come but she was not forgetful. Usually that was ok with him but this time, he didn't know if this was finally something she couldn't forgive.
He continued past the Leaving Charming sign and he felt Hanna's hand tap his chest twice. She was confused, but he wasn't. He knew exactly where he was taking her. He let go of his right handlebar and tapped on her hand twice before replacing his hand. He continued toward Oakland before he got onto the 680 and kicked up his speed. Before long, he was taking the San Fransisco-Oakland Bay Bridge and he was guiding them toward a restaurant they hadn't been to in years.
He pulled into the first parking spot he saw and parked the Dyna. He waited for Hanna to dismount the Harley before he did. He took off his helmet and accepted hers. He looked at the blonde and his dark eyes instantly landed on the slightly covered bruise she had. He grabbed her hand, pulling her closer to him. "I'm sorry, I know it can't make up for it or even the fight we had."
"I've heard that a lot today. Let's just go eat, maybe you can get fueled by food to help your brain figure out how we possibly move forward from you suddenly running your hands on me instead of just talking like you used to." Hanna pulled her hand free and moved past the man to enter the restaurant. "And bringing me here isn't suddenly going to make me forget that you were a dick last night and I now have a cut on my face."
He sighed heavily as he turned around and grabbed her hand again, gently pulling her to him again. "I didn't bring you here thinking you would forget about what happened last night. I was a dumbass, accusing you of shit I know you aren't capable of. I just went back to those last few months we spent here last year, thinking I was losing you and it pissed me off."
"Yeah well, you weren't losing me then and you weren't losing me while you were on the run a few nights ago. I should've never tried to close my wounds up in a different relationship but it was your idea after all." Hanna crossed her arms over her chest, looking up at the man. "This is child's play. We are grown adults, we are either working to build a powerful dynamic and relationship with each other or you can speak up now on your different idea you have here. I am not playing anymore, I took a fucking hit from your ass because you had things mixed up. I took a lot of time last night to think too. The man I met here three years ago is not the monster I saw last night, put the monster down."
It was late when they exited the restaurant, he looked at her for a moment before he chuckled softly. "Lets go for another ride. I don't have to be at the shop or anything. You are still hiding from applications."
"I'm not hiding. I just don't know where I want to begin this career." She murmured as she pointed away from the restaurant. "Ocean Beach?" She looked at the man as she took the helmet and put it on. "No better place to relax and watch the sun come up in the morning."
He nodded his head and pulled his helmet on before mounting the Harley. "I agree." He held his hand out to her and she took her before he started the Harley, leaving the parking lot.
He arrived to one of the small parking lots by the entrance of the beach and he cut the engine, they both dismounted and hung up the helmets before they walked down the pier to the beach. She moved up toward the water before she sat down in the sand, her icy blue eyes never leaving the ocean. Happy sat down beside her and draped an arm over her shoulders, pulling her in close to him. "You're the first person I ever loved. I know I'm not doing it right, I also know I'm a bastard but it's always been nice watching you look past that shit and love me back."
"Who told you you weren't doing it right?" She craned her head to look up at him. "You were but yelling matches, fights and putting your hands on someone isn't love. That's craziness. We rarely fought and we definitely didn't get physical before, what has changed?"
Happy shrugged his shoulders lazily. "I don't know, Hanna. I really don't, I wish I could answer that. Maybe it's the space that I put between us, or the regret of stupid choices leading us to Charming."
