"Yes, we have discovered that some animals just don't like water," Mary Gaperman said into the camera. She smiled with such delight, but it was obvious how stupid she was.

"That is true, Mary," Trent responded. "And that is also common knowledge, which makes you . . . pretty dumb."

"That's a good thing!"

"No, Mary, it's not. It's a bad thing." Trent looked into the camera with confused and almost annoyed intentions. He knew how stupid she could be and hated to admit it to her. "Moving on, there has been some information that the Vice Mayor Willard has divorced his wife for an even hotter woman. He claims that this one is much more expensive than the last and . . ." As he continued to talk, the Danger Force kids started to ramble on about not knowing about Bose's mother and father having split up. Which was odd.

"Bose, since when did that happen?!" Miles exclaimed.

"Yeah, I'd like to know too," Mika said.

"What she said," Chapa added.

Bose looked under pressure. "I don't know! I didn't even know they were getting divorced! My mom doesn't tell me about their personal relationship! She's in it for the cash!"

"I knew it," Miles muttered.

Chapa and Mika both shared a look at one another, and afterward, Mika said, "Bosey, how did you not know this? Someone had to have told you eventually." She looked deadly confused, turning down the television to hear him.

"No one told me!!" he cried out hysterically. "Why did no one tell me that my parents are divorcing!" He went on. He pulled himself onto Mika's shoulder and started to bawl.

Chapa turned to the television and then realized a very important detail in this tale. "What if . . ." she started with a calm tone of voice. "It's just a rumor that the news is making up so that people are more interested in watching the news?!"

Everyone was in immediate shock. They were all impressed that she was able to come up with that solution to this.

"Oh snap!" Miles said.

"Damn Chapa!" Mika raised her hand for a high five, and Chapa happily accepted it. "I'm sure that it was just a rumor, Bose. There is nothing to be worried about, okay?" She rubbed his back to make him feel better, and Chapa then reached over to pat on his shoulder. It was hard to reach, and she almost fell off the couch before Miles caught her.

"Are you sure?" he asked, in between sobs.

"Yes, sweetie."

"Ew, what are you, his mom?" Chapa asked, disgusted.

Mika rolled her eyes as she continued to rub Boses's back. "I'm just being comforting," she said in a calm voice so that he would not be disturbed. She noted that it was now fine.

"Anyway, let's just continue watching the news," Miles said in an annoyed tone. He turned up the volume, and the next story was about to start.

"And that is the story behind the Nakatomi Towers," Trent said, ending that news segment. "In other news, we have just gotten word that Captain Man has retired. He has retired from fighting crime forever, and no one knows where he went. It is known that he left Swellview and has traveled to one of the other quince cities," he explained.

"Aww, man, now I'm sad about that," Bose complained.

"Me too," Miles added.

"Same," Chapa commented.

Mika nodded. "It's been so hard since he left. I'm not sure how to be the best leader for everyone. I kind of wish that he didn't put me in charge, but then again, I'm honored."
