Miles walked into the girls' bedroom and noticed that the two were sitting on the same bed and looked indifferent. "Um . . .," he choked on his words before he could speak.

"Miles?" Chapa whispered. "Oh, please save me!"

"I was just wondering if you two would want to come play some games with me and Bose." He looked so confused.

"Yes! We would absolutely love to!" Chapa cried out.

"We would," Mika added with a smirk. "But," then she had given an exhale that was almost inaudible. "Me and Chapa are discussing something at the moment, so if you could give us a minute, that would be great." She smiled at him.

"Is everything okay?" Miles questioned with narrowed eyes.

"Yes!" Chapa exclaimed, a little too loud. "Everything is fine. Don't worry about me. You should really be worried about Mika! She hasn't been getting much sleep since she's been waiting for emergency calls that never come in."

Mika looked embarrassed.

"Come on, Mika. You know how important sleep is to you," Miles said, disappointed in his sister.

"I know." Her shoulders slumped. "But I seriously don't want to miss a call! One could come in at any moment!"

"That's exactly why me and Bose are still up," he then responded in a tired tone. "Well, try to make this quick so that me and Bose don't die waiting for you."

"Will do," Chapa said anxiously.

Miles exited the room and closed the door behind him.

Mika looked around and then remembered that she and Chapa were about to talk about what's been on her mind. "So, tell me what's the matter with you. So I can stop pestering you about it," she said. She hoped she would.

"Well, the truth is . . ." Chapa sighed and covered her face. She was able to make herself a fake sob. She was not about to confess to Mika Macklin that she had a dream about a mission she went on that ended in a way she would have never expected.

"Chapa, honey, are you crying?!"

"Don't call me honey," Chapa wailed out. She uncovered her face and turned to her friend.

Mika was shocked to see the redness in her eyes and the water droplets that fell from them. "Chapa! It's okay! Just tell me what is wrong so that I can help you!" she assured.

Chapa wiped her eyes. "The truth is . . . I'm not pleased with my recent crime fighting performances," she admitted to her friend, which was a total lie.

Mika was shocked and also weirdly confused about that. "Um, Chapa, h-how are you not pleased? You took down the Time Jerker so well last mission! And when we took him to jail, you really handled him!" She spoke with pride.

"But it wasn't good enough!" Chapa weaped.

"Yes, it was! Everyone thought you did an amazing job!"

"It was so sloppy and poorly done. I could have performed so much better than what I did at the Nakatomi Towers," she complained about herself. She then wiped her eyes.

Mika wanted to do something other than sit there, but she knew that Chapa was sensitive about touching. "Chapa, you did wonderful today. I don't know how you are not pleased. You should be ecstatic! You should be proud of your work. We are doing this all without the help of . . . I realized that his name triggered you three when we were eating pizza earlier, so I'm not going to do that again." She had to force herself not to say the name of her retired boss.

"Yeah, I was really not into that."

"I understand that now," Mika pursed her lips as she said. "But, um, anyway, I think that you should be happy for what you have been able to accomplish in the last month, maybe even a week! In my opinion, you have one of the greatest superpowers out there, Chapa, and you can not let that go to waste by beating yourself up over something so small."

"But how?" she queried, hurt.

"Let yourself believe that you are worth the trouble you put yourself into every day," Mika told her, confident. "You don't have to do this. You don't have to get yourself into chaos every day for the sake of your city. But you do. And you should be proud of that. Yes, there is always room for improvement, but you don't need to beat yourself up because of it. Okay? I don't want to see you so hurt now."

"I'm sorry," Chapa whispered.

"Don't be."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. Just please be proud of yourself and thankful that nothing is lost and you are even still here," Mika claimed.

"Right," Chapa commented.

She looked around the room, and as she did, an emergency call came in, which certainly shocked both of them. Both of them were instantly startled and didn't know what to do until Chapa thought of something.

"Um, Mika?" she asked in request.

"Yeah?"

Chapa pulled out her gumtube and looked at it with crazy intentions. "Can I . . . can I take this call alone?" She still wiped her eyes as she wondered. She knew that Mika would let her, and she nodded. Chapa stood from the bed with a faint smile on her face. She was excited to prove that she should be proud of her work and capabilities. She was too excited. "Thanks," she then choked out. She wouldn't back down.

Mika took Chapa out of their bedroom just as Miles and Bose had come out. "Guys," Mika called out to them. None of them stopped for her. "Guys! Hello! Miles, Bose!" She yelled at them, which eventually made both turn around.

"What's up, Mika?" Bose goofily asked.

"Chapa, here, is going to take this call by herself. Some discusison stuff that you wouldn't understand, so, um, yeah, she's going to take this alone," Mika explained to them.

"Oh, okay," Bose shrugged.

"We stayed up this late just to not be able to go?!" Miles complained to his sister. He waved his arms in distress.

"Sorry," Chapa answered in her usual tone to that word. She headed up to the tube pad. She transformed into her superhero outfit and called the phrase to take her down the tube so that she could take the call. Everyone watched as she left and hoped she was fine.

"What do we do now?" Bose asked.

"We still have those games," Miles proposed with a smile. "Let's keep our minds clear with them." He knew that everyone would not oppose that idea and followed him into the bedroom, where all the board and card games were located. It was time for them to have some fun with this.
