Chapa hoped and prayed that her losing her superpower was just a dream and that she would have it when she woke up. When she rose up and tried to test it, she realized that it was not a dream. She was frustrated with herself. She was even more frustrated when her mother walked into the room due to being so worried about her.

"Chapa? Are you in here?" she asked. "Oh, good you are." She walked in further and then smiled. It faded once she noticed that her child was distraught about something. "Um, is something the matter, Chapa?" she then asked her.

"No!" she hurriedly answered.

"Are you sure? You know, as your mother, I can tell when you are lying to me," Alejandra replied with a stern look.

"I'm fine," Chapa said.

"Are you really fine?" Alejandra pushed.

"Yes."

"Chapa?"

"N-No," she then admitted. She watched as her mother came and put her hands on her shoulders. She could not stop her from doing this. She knew that she couldn't.

Alejandra sighed. "Tell me what's wrong, Chapa. I can tell that something is eating at you," she said, so gently. She didn't want to upset her daughter more than she was.

Chapa looked around the room to find an excuse. "I'm not sure you'll understand. It's complicated," she explained.

"But still, I will try to, and you know that you can tell me anything in the whole wide world." The mother smiled.

Chapa knew that was true and almost twitched at the sound of hearing it come from her mother's mouth. She still tried to find a cover-up and then realized the same thing that she told Mika would be perfect for this, until her mother pointed something out that she forgot was there.

"What are these bandages for, Chapa? I just noticed them."

"I just bruised my head battling the Toddler," she replied.

"Hm," Alejandra chuckled. "You didn't have to lie, Chapa. I know it was Drex. I get the emergency calls, too, you know."

"Right."

"Can I take a look at it?" she then asked.

"No!" Chapa hurriedly cried out. "I don't want you to touch it right now. It hurts really bad," her voice shook with fear.

"I just want to look at it," Alejandra pleaded.

"You know how I am about people and touching," Chapa said, hoping that her mother would back off afterward. She was relieved to see that she did. She took a step back.

Alejandra looked down for a moment. "So, can you tell me what's wrong?" she asked in the most softest voice ever. She looked up at her daughter with such serious but also concerned eyes. She needed to know what the issue was. She sat down on Chapa's bed and waited for her to come.

"Not this again," Chapa muttered, inaudible to her mom. She reluctantly sat on the bed and remained as far away as she could from her mother. She didn't want to tell her this.

"What's up, Chapa?"

"I don't want to tell you."

"Just do it."

"I can't. It's too embarrassing, and I've already had this conversation with Mika once before."

"Well," Alejandra looked stunned as she spoke. "If Mika has had to have a talk with you, then it must be," she stated. "Just tell me what it is. If you do, then I will make your favorite dinner tonight." She had to bribe her for it now.
