Was in the car so I had some time, thank goodness. Anyway, sorry I had to split this up into two parts. Here's the rest of it.
Charlie made her way down to her father's place. No one was able to get to his home unless they were a Hellborn like herself. Her father didn't care that much for sinners, calling the souls in the pride ring awful. Therefore, he made his home just outside the Pride ring. "Dad," she knocked on the door. "Are you home? I know I could have called, but we needed to talk."
It was a very brief moment before the door opened and her father grinned. "Charlie! How is my sweet little girl?"
"I'm alright Dad, but listen, I need to talk to you."
"Of course, come in, come in. Had I known you were coming over, I would have cleaned up a bit more. Just... don't go to my office room." Lucifer said as he thought about the hoards of ducks.
"Um, alright? I wasn't planning on staying long, but I need to talk to you about Alastor." Charlie said.
"Alawho?" The lord of Hell asked. "Oh, right, the bellhop. What about him?"
"Why did you turn him into a cat?" Charlie crossed her arms, arching a brow.
"Hmmm, I don't think that was me."
"Save it, Dad, Angel was a witness and saw that you and Alastor had a little fight. You used your own magic and turned him into a cat." Charlie said.
The King of Hell sighed. "Fine, I may have turned him into a cat, but he had it coming to him. You should have heard him, Charlie. He was just... getting on my nerves. He said I was a child and I told him that he is like a little pet trying to get your attention all the time. Anyway, I turned him into a cat, so he really would be like your pet."
Charlie held her breath for a moment. "Dad, that wasn't very nice. You need to change him back."
"I mean, all magic wears off sooner or later, I'm sure he will be fine as a cat." Lucifer said.
"That's not the point Dad. I can't run the entire hotel without his help. He is my business partner. And as sadistic as he is, he does help out when I ask. I know you two don't get along, can you please just return him back to normal?"
Lucifer looked at his daughter and frowned. "Fine. I'll return him back to normal. Is he with you?"
"No. He's at the hotel." Charlie said.
"Oh, alright, in that case, let's just head back to your place." Lucifer said, grabbing his staff.
"If I had known I would have had to bring him here, I would have brought him with me. But Dad, you do realize that you just prove this point that you are a child. You've gotten into a petty argument and reacted as such." Charlie said. "Why do you even hate Alastor anyway?"
"it's not that I hate him, I just don't like how... close he is to you. He claims to be your father figure when I'm your actual father. It's insulting. When I first saw him come on I thought he was a little more than just a business partner until you introduced me to Vaggie." Her father explained. "I have a valid reason to not have a pleasant outlook on the man, and I have no idea why he has such an outlook on me."
"Maybe it's because you don't know him. I barely know him. But from Howie talks about things, he always speaks so highly of his mother, but never about his father. This is just speculation of course, but I think because he saw our rift, and I believe he may have had a rift with his own father, he doesn't like you because of that." Charlie explained.
"I just can't take the chance that he will end up doing something and take you away from me."
"Dad, you're my father. Not Alastor. He will always be just a work partner, but you will always be my father. And we have gotten so close in the past few weeks. Do you really think I'm going to let that all go to waste just because he's helping me out?" Charlie pointed out.
"Huh, maybe you're right. Maybe I am overreacting. Just a little bit." Lucifer chuckled.
"Here kitty kitty kitty. Come on. We need to find you before Charlie finds out we lost you." Angel said.
"So when he got turned into a cat, that included all of the instincts and destructiveness of a cat as well as their ability to just vanish for hours into small spaces? KeeKee does that." Vaggie sighed.
"If we don't find him soon, I don't know what Charlie is going to say to us. We can't even keep eyes on a small cat? We are pathetic." Angel sighed.
Vaggie thought for a moment. "If he has all of the instincts of a cat....? Then doesn't it make sense that he would come for cat treats or even catnip?"
"I mean, what's the worst that could happen if we try it. We only have one other cat here. Do you remember where the catnip is?"
"Of course I know where the catnip is. I typically keep it... in the same area I hide some other drugs. But made for people."
"Looks like we just found another hiding spot of yours."
"Yeah, yeah. I'll be right back." The spider demon quickly made his way out of the room and came back with a small bag of catnip. He started to sprinkle the herb onto the ground. Hoping that the scent would draw out their feline friend, they waited. As Vaggie thought, KeeKee made her way out and not too long after that, Alastor joined her. Vaggie and Angel took no time at all to take hold of the two cats. Vaggie grabbed KeeKee and Angel gabbed Alastor.
"Niffty, can you clean up the catnip for us please?"
"You got it." The housekeeper quickly got to work, sweeping up the herb.
"Now all we have to do is wait for Charlie."
"Wait for me for what? Did I miss something?" Charlie walked in with her father by her side.
"No no, we were just playing with the cats. We may or may not have given them catnip. It's fine now. Is your dad going to change him back?"
"Yes, he is. We had a discussion about it, and he will change Alastor back." As she said that, Lucifer snapped his fingers and in Angel's arms was the deer demon. However, something was a little off about him. He seemed spacey.
"Dad? What did you do to him?"
"I turned him back. That's it. No tricks."
Vaggie snapped her fingers. "He's high on catnip. Or rather, whatever drug angel combined with the catnip to hide from us."
Angel chuckled nervously. "Welp, I will take this as my cue to leave."
"Nope. You got us into this mess, or part of this mess at least, you are going to take care of it. Just watch him until he's sober." Vaggie said.
"I... fine." Angel knew there was no talking Vaggie out of it.
A/N: I had no idea where to end this. I really need to get better at ending my stories. But that is the conclusion. This was actually a little fun. Catnip doesn't actually make cats high, so I added that little feature to it. I shall see you tomorrow.
