It was Issac's first day of junior college. He walked through the crowds of unfamiliar people on a warm and humid day in San Juan.

He worked his way through the crowds looking for his first class...English 101. He was used to being a loner, he had attended a total of five schools in the last ten years.
His dad was a Commander in the US Navy. His dad had grown up in an extremely rough section of Atlanta, Georgia. His mom was a Haitian immigrant and his dad had run out on the family when he was only ten. His mom pushed him hard in his academics and kept him away from the street gangs. When he turned 18 he joined the Navy and excelled making into Officer Training School. San Juan was their last home base before his retirement in two years.

His mom was a life long school teacher. She had grown up in the same area of Atlanta as his dad. They were high school sweethearts. They were married right after his dad had finished basic training. She had taught in schools on every base they lived on...elementary school. She planned on retiring as soon as her husband did. She was a strong and independent woman. She had to be since his dad was usually deployed around six months out of the year.
