Raven was finishing some last minute paperwork. She had just closed out a nice size contract obtaining a first edition Lovecraft novel for a buyer.

Raven had worked as a New Orleans detective for almost ten years seeing nothing but corruption and mistreatment. She had a knack for being thorough and her attention to detail was mind blowing. She had started out as a private investigator but that changed when she was hired the first time to be a collector.
As an investigator, her job was to find specific items for buyers than were near impossible to obtain. Sometimes the job was long and arduous but the payday on a single item sometimes added up to more than six months salary as a cop.
She had a 1030 am appointment with a gentleman looking to obtain a record....evidently unreleased and one of a kind. He arrived promptly on time and introduced himself simply as Mr.Black.
