PHAYU POV
I didn't sleep that night.
Rain's voice kept replaying — quiet, broken — telling me about the drink, the photos, the rumors. The way his shoulders shook when he said "I said no." The way he looked at me after I slipped and admitted I wanted it to be him.
My face still burned thinking about it.
Stumbling words.
Blush I couldn't hide.
Idiot.
But the embarrassment was nothing compared to the rage. Saifah drugged him. Framed him. Ruined him. And now he was back, sitting next to Rain every day, calling him "bunny" like it was a joke. Like he hadn't destroyed his life.
I needed to know how deep this poison ran.
Next morning I skipped first period. Went straight to the back of the school — same fence, same group of alphas loitering, same acrid cigarette smoke hanging in the air like a bad omen.
The skinny guy with the scar was there again. He saw me coming and tried to bolt — dropping his smoke, eyes wide with panic.
I was faster.
I grabbed his collar, slamming him against the fence hard enough that the metal rattled. His friends froze, but one look from me — alpha aura flaring cold and lethal — and they backed off.
Phayu (voice low, snarling): "You lied last time."
He choked, hands scrambling at my grip. "I-I didn't—"
Phayu: "You said 'paid gig.' Who paid?"
His eyes darted — desperate, trapped. Sweat beaded on his forehead.
Skinny guy (gasping): "Okay, okay! Let go!"
I didn't. I leaned in closer, scent exploding — stormy rage so thick it made him whimper.
Phayu: "Name. Now."
Skinny guy (whispering, shaking): "Saifah. Okay? It was Saifah. He paid us to do it — lock the kid in the bathroom, dump water on him, make him cry like a pup. Said it'd remind him of something. That's all, I swear! We didn't know why!"
My grip tightened.
Saifah.
I released him. He slumped to the ground, coughing, rubbing his neck.
Phayu: "If you're lying—"
"I'm not!" he yelped. "I swear on my life!"
I walked away, blood pounding in my ears like thunder.
Saifah.
I found him at lunch — outside the cafeteria, leaning against the wall like he owned the damn school. Alone.
I didn't hesitate.
I grabbed him by the shirt, slamming him against the bricks so hard the air rushed out of his lungs. The impact echoed down the empty hall. His head snapped back, eyes widening in shock.
Phayu (growling, face inches from his): "You paid to have Rain bullied his first day."
Saifah gasped, trying to twist free, but my grip was iron. He coughed, then that smug smile crept back — slow, defiant.
Saifah (wheezing, laughing through the pain): "So you figured that out. Took you long enough. Let go, or—"
I slammed him again — harder. His back hit the wall with a sickening thud. Pain flickered in his eyes, but he hid it behind that grin.
I punched him in the gut — hard, fast. He doubled over, gasping, blood flecking his lips from the force.
Phayu (voice deadly quiet): "Why."
Saifah coughed, spitting blood, but he didn't stop talking. Like he wanted me to hear. Like he enjoyed it.
Saifah (low, obsessive): "He needed reminding. Of who he belongs to."
He licked the blood from his lip, eyes glazing with sick pleasure.
Saifah (voice dropping, almost reverent): "You know how good he felt? God, I wanna do those things to him again. Kiss him until he melts. Hold his waist until he trembles. Feel him arch into me, soft little sounds spilling out. Fuck, Phayu... you have no idea how beautiful my bunny looked when he cried. Those tears. The way his eyes went wide and glassy. I could watch him break forever."
My vision tunneled red.
I punched him across the jaw — bone crunching under my knuckles. He staggered, blood pouring from his mouth, but he still laughed — manic, unhinged.
Saifah (rasping, spitting teeth): "And my bunny don't know that I fucked someone else while he was busy being shy. Hey, I fucked that person thinking it was my bunny, yk? He always said no to going further, and I am a guy with needs, so what could have I done?"
I grabbed his throat — squeezing now, pinning him to the wall. His face turned red, eyes bulging, hands clawing at my arm.
Phayu (snarling, voice shaking with rage): "You cheated on him. Imagined him while you did it. Then drugged him when he wouldn't give in. Took photos. Framed him. Made him the villain."
Saifah's smile twisted — psychotic, gasping through my grip.
Saifah (choking, wheezing): "He's mine... to break. Always was. The pictures? The rumors? Just the beginning. I'll make him cry again. Beg again. And you'll... watch."
I squeezed harder — his face turning purple, veins popping, eyes rolling back.
Phayu (whisper, lethal): "Touch him again. Hurt him again. And you'll beg me to end it."
I released him. He collapsed to the ground in a heap, gasping, clutching his throat, blood pooling under him.
Saifah (rasping, still smirking through the pain): "We'll... see."
He crawled up slowly, staggering away like he wasn't broken.
But I smelled it.
Fear.
Thick and bitter.
Good.
I turned back toward the cafeteria. Rain was still inside — safe, with First and the others.
For now.
But Saifah wasn't done.
And neither was I.
