"I can't believe you posted on your story that you needed outfit help just to step out of your hotel looking like a bombshell." Kelly greeted me by pulling me into a warm hug.
"Oh my god, hi Kelly. You look amazing, too." I returned the hug, ignoring the way Max stood slightly in the background with his hands twitching by his side. I could tell that he also wanted to hug me.
"Hi, Tia!" Max said excitedly. As soon as I pulled away from the hug, he took the chance to pull me into another hug, but this time with him instead of with Kelly.
I laughed softly as I wrapped my arms around him. "Hi, Max. Long time no see, huh?"
"Are you ready to go?" He asked after he stepped away from the hug to grab his girlfriend's hand.
I smiled at the sight the two made.
"Yes, I'm so ready for this weekend. I'll tell you now that Ferrari will crush you guys." I jokingly answered. I already knew that the probability of Ferrari getting a 1-2 was very slim, especially with the way Red Bull has somehow managed to build a rocket ship disguised as a car.
The three of us entered the rental car Max had. On the way to the circuit, we made small talk with each other, talking about almost anything that we could think about.
"How's your album coming along?" Kelly asked as she turned her head around to easier face me despite her sitting in the front next to Max.
"Well, my album has been put on hold for now, but I have finally come up with an album title!" I answered excitedly. "It's going to be called Moving On."
"Why Moving on?" Max wondered.
I shrugged. "I don't know, to be honest. I mean all of the songs are kind of about my exes. But I mostly wrote the songs as a healing process from how messed up some of the relationships had been." I replied, still wondering if "Moving On" was a good enough title for my debut album.
"And what about the song titles?" Kelly asked. Her question followed up on Max's previous one.
"hurt my feelings, I'll Break My Heart Again, Panic Room, Hurts So Good, Love Him I Don't, Grave, Daydream, and Fall into You," I answered, rambling up the eight titles of the songs I've already recorded and edited.
Kelly and Max shared a look before Kelly slightly turned around in the seat to look at me. "Sweetie, it sounds like your album is already finished." She gently said as she flashed me a smile. "It feels done, but it also doesn't. They want me to add three or four more songs."
"Well, fuck them then." Max blurted out. "No, hear me out, Tia. You're a Castiello and this is your debut album. Why would your debut album need eleven or twelve titles when it already has eight?" He dropped the hand he had raised to signify that he was done speaking. I was about to open my mouth to say something but Max seemed to have other plans because he held up his hand again.
"Use your privileges if you so must, Tia, especially if you feel like your album is done. You retired from rowing because you felt that it consumed your life and that you didn't enjoy the environment your trainer and coach put you through. I'm not going to sit here and hear about how you exchanged one devil with another. I care about you too much to be able to deal with that." Max stated. His words seemed to just keep pouring out of his mouth which wasn't that surprising to me. Max could talk for hours with people he vibed with and oh could he go on a rant when he was worried about the people he cared about.
"Yeah, you're right Maxie."
A comfortable silence fell in the car as the music from the radio played softly in the background. It was only a couple of minutes left before we would arrive at the circuit. Due to Max inviting me to this Grand Prix, I unfortunately had to spend my time in the Red Bull garage as one of his guests and I wasn't really complaining that much about it even though the Ferrari fan inside of me was silently crying about not being able to visit the Ferrari garage and meet the two current drivers.
