Max wanted to hit something or someone. He always got that feeling when he thought about the past, especially about the past that his best friend, Tatiana had with her past lovers. His own childhood never really triggered such anger if he was going to be honest with himself. Regarding his past, Max just tended to casually drop information about his childhood during interviews as if he were talking about today's weather.

However, whenever his Tatiana, because Tatiana would always be his just as he would always be hers, was dragged into meaningless drama because her exes refused to accept that she would always be better than them it made his blood boil. These recent months, despite Tatiana's insistence that it has calmed down, have definitely not calmed down for him. Every time he had to see the ugly face of Casimir Damon on the billboards he just wanted to stab the face until it became unrecognisable.

His best friend, Tatiana deserved the world and he would never forgive her exes for what each one of them has done to her. Max still remembers the day when Tatiana had called him at three AM asking him if he was available to talk despite it being so early in the morning. He remembered that he was close to saying that he couldn't talk since he needed his sleep, but Tatiana's whispering voice and the quiet sniffles that signalled that she was about to break down into tears made him stop and agree to a three AM call.

Max remembers, oh how he remembers, Tatiana's doubting herself and still wishing that one of them was her happily ever after. He remembers every single moment his best friend lost the beautiful sparkles in her eyes the more any of her past relationships went to shit. He also knew that deep inside her, the young beautiful little girl that is a hopeless romantic waited patiently for a person to love her and hold her in a way that no one else has done before.

"I want to be loved in a way that could rival the stories in the books. I want to be held in a way that leaves me feeling safe and loved. I want to be embraced in a love that is so caring and gentle that it will make me cry because of how gentle and lovely it is." Tatiana had told him three years ago after she had finished crying in his arms one night.

Sometimes, Max wondered what would have happened if he had never ended up dating Kelly. Would he have been able to give his best friend the love she craved for? Or would they have ended up destroying each other in the long run?

"You look like you're contemplating murdering someone." His beautiful girlfriend, Kelly, whispered in his ear. She was currently standing behind the couch and leaning over him, her hands travelling down his chest as she placed light kisses against his neck.

"I think I'll be visiting Tatiana again soon." He muttered. Even though both Kelly and Tatiana seemed to have become great friends, Max still knew that his girlfriend had a deep-buried jealousy and insecurity over his friendship with Tatiana, especially now with the media picking up on the closeness he has with Tatiana.

Max was kept in the loop in knowing how much his fans seemed to have recently started to ship him and Tatiana together although he was in a happy and healthy relationship with his beloved Kelly and the obvious fact that his best friend isn't quite ready to enter a relationship again.

"Why? It hasn't been that long ago since you last saw her." Kelly responded. Max let out a sigh as he gently removed her hands from his chest. He was well aware that no one truly understood how deep his friendship with Tatiana ran. Knowing that he was her lifeline would always bring a warm feeling in his soul and make his heart ache in a way that no one before has succeeded in.

"She's back from Seoul and I wanted to ask her something that I would rather ask in person than over the phone." He answered. Max could care less how it could be interpreted. He would never stoop as low as to become a cheater nor would he even dream of causing such harm to either of his girls.

Both women held pieces of his heart that no one else did and neither of them could replace the place the other holds. Kelly's well-hidden jealousy could quite frankly take a well-deserved vacation since it was very much misplaced and unnecessary.

It also didn't help that his best friend never picks up on Kelly's jealousy and always thinks that she wants the best for her when Max knows full well that sometimes Kelly said things towards Tatiana with ill intentions intended to hurt and for her own selfish needs of just wanting him for herself.

'Love is such a messy thing sometimes.' Max thought quietly to himself. And wasn't that a harsh truth? He had seen first-hand how harsh and unforgivable love could be.
