EPILOGUE

Tatiana was nervous. She would have never thought she would ever manage to reach this point in life. She was getting married to the man who was her first love.

It had been almost three years since she and Max confessed their love to each other and each day the two of them had ensured that they would end the day happy and equally in love.

Max had been the perfect man for her throughout the years. He was emotionally available and secure in the role that he had in her life. The respect and love he had shown Tatiana would always manage to bring a smile to her lips. In a way she believed that no one would be able to love her in the same way Max does.

He had proposed to her on the beach of Monaco while they were doing a modelling shoot by Vogue a year ago and Tatiana couldn't help but say yes with tears running down her cheeks. They weren't tears made of sadness, this time it was happy tears filled with love.

Max had proven true to the promise he had made to her those years ago and every day Tatiana is thankful that she gave the blonde man a chance.

"Are you ready soon?" Melisa, Tatiana's mother, asked as she stepped into the room while closing the door behind her.

"I'm so nervous. What if I trip?" Tatiana tried to give her mother a smile.

"You'll be fine, my little angel. Your father is waiting for you so he can walk you down the aisle. Besides, I'm sure this wedding will be a memory worth looking back at when the age comes in."

Tatiana laughed a little before she interlocked her arm with her mother's. Together the two of them walked out of the room and down the corridor where her father stood waiting on her.

"I'll see you at the altar." Her mother said before she let go and walked away towards the place where the guests were waiting.

"You look like a beautiful queen, my little fairy princess." Her father, Benvolio, complimented her with tears in his eyes. The love was visible and shining in a way that made Tatiana want to cry even more.

"Don't make me cry even more, papa." She let out a laugh that sounded more like a held-back sob.

"Let's go, little fairy."

Together the daughter and father slowly walked towards the doors that would open to the aisle. The song that Tatiana had picked to walk down the aisle with played softly and the soft breeze made the flower petals that lay on the ground softly fly with the wind.

Tatiana walked down the aisle, the hundreds of pairs of eyes watched her with tears in their eyes and right in the middle stood him. Max, the love of her life, stood there watching her, eyes shining with love and happy tears.

The father-daughter duo reached the stage where her father placed her hands in Max's.

"We have gathered here today to watch the union of two houses join into one. Tatiana Florencia Castiello and Max Emilian Verstappen, have you come here to enter into marriage without coercion, freely, and wholeheartedly?" The priest asked.

Tatiana and Max glanced at each other, both having a smile on their lips before they responded.

"I have."

"Are you prepared, as you follow the path of marriage, to love and honour each other for as long as you both shall live?"

"I am." They both responded.

Max grinned as he gave a light squeeze to Tatiana's hand before he spoke his vow.

"I, Max Emilian Verstappen, take you, Tatiana Florencia Castiello, to be my wife. I promise to be faithful to you, in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, to love you and to honour you all the days of my life. We will have our ups and downs, where some days will be sunny and warm and others will be cold and stormy but despite that, I vow to you that I will always be there with you through it all. I vow to you that I will always find a way to fall in love with you every single day as if I'm in an endless loop of always falling in love with you. I vow to you that I will love you and respect you in every lifetime. Should we be separated I vow to you now that I will always find and fight my way back to you because there is no other place but in your loving arms where I belong."

Tatiana sobbed as she listened to the beautiful vow that Max had written and somehow managed to memorise until it was stuck in his long-term memory.

"I, Tatiana Florencia Castiello, take you, Max Emilian Verstappen, to be my husband. I promise to be faithful to you, in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, to love you and to honour you all the days of my life. You were my first love, the first boy to treat me as if I were a hidden gem worth treasuring and loving. Every moment with you has been a blessing. You were the second man that made me feel comfortable in your presence and you'll be the last man I will ever love. May this day be the witness to the indenying fact that no one will love me the way you love me. I vow to you that I will love you until Death comes prying me away kicking and screaming. I vow to you that I will love you when you feel like you are at your end rope and that I shall be the person you can lean on when you feel like you have no one. I vow today that you will be the man that I will love unconditionally and set the bar my future daughter should find. From this day forward, I vow to you that you are all I want until infinity ends."

Max took one of the rings from the ringbearer and held it gently between his fingers.
"Tatiana Florencia Castiello, receive this ring as a sign of my love and fidelity. In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the holy spirit." He placed the ring on Tatiana's finger, glancing up and sending her a quick smile that was filled with love.

"Max Emilian Verstappen, receive this ring as a sign of my love and fidelity. In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the holy spirit."  Tatiana grabs the other ring and gently puts it on his finger.

The priest smiles before he says the pronouncement.
"In the sight of God and these witnesses, I now pronounce you husband and wife! You may now kiss!"

"Finally," Max whispered before he pulled Tatiana into a kiss, his arms enveloping her waist as they kissed in front of the guests.

The heartfelt claps from the audience faded away as the now-married pair only could find themselves focused on the overwhelming love they had for each other.
