"Is he still not awake?" Felix wakes up to a much harsher voice standing over him. His body is starting to shake. He prays that they don't realize. The voice also doesn't sound like any of the ones he's heard before, and it scares him so much more. Felix does not think he wants to find out what's going to happen to him.
A long, exaggerated sigh breaks the silence. "Nope," Felix remembers the voice, he doesn't know whose it was, but it's familiar. Too familiar for his liking. It's as if something had taken control of him like something was inside of his head. Something that wanted him to get found out. Something that wanted to find out what was going to happen to him.
Felix didn't know what scared him more, his thoughts or the fear of being somewhere completely new with people who swore that he was never going to leave. In a way, Felix felt at home. If he tried hard enough, he could think of his and Jooyeon's friends. People who will find him– they have to be searching for him, right? He doesn't know how much time has passed, but he knows they have to be out there.
"Jisung's getting irritated. It's like this kid doesn't even exist." The first voice– the one Felix doesn't recognize– speaks. Felix has never been more glad he was so unknown in this part of Korea. He and Jooyeon were born in a completely different part of the world, Australia.
"But, they're getting nowhere with the investigation! I just want my brother back!"
It's quiet for a second, and Felix is left alone with his thoughts. Well, he is before a scream bursts through the house. He doesn't even know how big this house is, but he's not sure he wants to find out how loud that scream was. He hates enclosed spaces. Especially when it was going to come to his safety, and Felix was smart enough to know that there was a chance he wouldn't get out of this place alive.
"Was that Hyunjin?" One of the voices asked, panicked. Felix can't decipher which one he remembers anymore like his brain has been turned to some kind of mush. He hates it, he hates the feeling of not having control.
It's like he's a child again, just waiting for the blow to happen. The blows he always tried to take for Jooyeon, to save him from that life. It feels exactly like that. Felix is horrified.
"Yeah. That was Hyunjin. What the fuck is going on?"
"Joo, maybe he ran away?"
Felix has his eyes clenched shut so tightly, his hands in fists, the feeling of fear coursing through his veins. There's the sound of footsteps rushing toward the room. "We know who he is now. Jisung didn't find out, but Hyunjin did."
"Jinnie?" One of them asks, "How did Hyunjin of all people find out, my sweetest Seungmin?"
Seungmin giggles. If Felix didn't know Seungmin was one of the people who had a hand in kidnapping him, he would have thought it was the sweetest sound he'd ever heard. The kind of thing that deserves to be played on repeat. "A news report. He's already been reported missing. But surprisingly, not by his parents. They don't seem like they're in the picture considering his brother was the one who filed for him to be declared missing."
Felix's blood runs cold. "So," The previous voice implores for more details. "Who is he? Such a beautiful face deserves a name, right Changbin?"
"Jungsu, you know Felix better than anyone! You know that he would never do that to me! You know he would never hurt me!"
A groan– Felix realizes that's the voice he remembered but didn't know the name of. "Yes, hyung."
Seungmin sighs at the attention not being on him for once. "Jisung is going to be happy. We found out why we couldn't find anything on him. He's not from Korea."
