As the fireworks were exploding into a beautiful spectacle Kakashi noticed the crowd shrinking into itself as people held their loved ones closer. Years of fight and stressful times have culminated. The Rinne festival truly felt to be a time that marked a fresh beginning for the world, that would bring to new life in Konoha. His heart felt a different kind of peace in that moment.
As a hokage he felt thankful to a lot of people that made this possible, the previous kages, the couple on stage and the kunoichi standing right next to him. He suddenly felt a surge of emotions, a fuzzy feeling inside his heart and his hand went to hug her sideways. To his surprise she leaned into him that very moment. They hugged. Sakura rested her face on his shoulders and the fuzzy feeling inside him grew. He couldn't help but smile. It felt so warm to be around her.
What is happening Sakura? Why do you bring so much comfort to me? I have never been so close to anyone in my life before. Is it really okay to feel this way?
They watched the fireworks together and felt grateful to have a loved one by their side. Next moment the anchor announced that Naruto and Saki be starting the dances for tonight. Saki looked nervous and hesitated to dance. The song started playing and Naruto pulled Saki to dance with him.

Sakura loved this song. She saw her best friend drag the love of his life to the centre stage and made Saki stand on his feet. He then very delicately started swaying his feet side to side to the rhythm of next few lines.
Well, I found a girl, beautiful and sweet
Oh, I never knew you were the someone waiting for me
The crowd cheered at the romantic gesture, so did Sakura and Kakashi. Sakura was so excited to see this tonight, finally getting a closure to all the queries she had about naruto's secret love life. While Kakashi was just happy to find his friends cum students living the life they deserved and longed for.

Not knowing what it was

Her heart felt fuzzy too. She leaned a little more into Kakashi and lip synced the next few lines.

Sakura started swaying a little bit in her place. Being a hopeless romantic she just couldn't help herself. Kakashi smiled at her innocence. He paid more attention to the lyrics that got her into playful mood.
When you said you looked a mess
I whispered underneath my breath
But you heard it
Darling, you look perfect tonight
That moment he realised, he liked everything about her. Her messy pink hair, the smell of disinfectant from her hands. The hint of puffiness beneath the jade eyes. Her bipolar personality and how seamlessly she switched between the two. Maybe I am smitten by her.
He turned to look at her to confirm if he really was. She was an absolute treat to his eyes. He gasped for air.
