Chapter 2: New Commander, New Nikkes

Author's Note: I feel it may sound dumb to ask this, but...should I kill Marian? Before any of you say 'OMG, yes!' and that it is a easy choice, I don't think it is. Marian being corrupted I feel is important to the story and for us taking things seriously and wanting to protect everyone. Plus, I can manipulate the story later to be different, so I don't know. To kill or not to kill?

After a good while and a lot of convincing, you had finally managed to convince Marian to put you down on the ground. Of course, you were relieved to be able to walk on your own again, but you sweatdropped at the...slight closeness of Marian. And by slight, that truly meant her being less than an arm's length away from you. You didn't really want to be mean and say to back off though, so you just stayed quiet and kept walking forward.

"Commander, can I ask a question?" Marian asked before continuing. "Do you truly not remember anything from the academy? With your excellent orders, you should have at least memories of practice, right?"

You really didn't want to tell Marian that you couldn't remember even more than that. "Sorry Marian, I really can't remember. I think that the crash may have messed with my head; I will get it checked out when we get back to see if it can be resolved." You sure hoped that it could be; Remembering almost nothing is something only old people should experience, not a 18-year old.

Feeling slight distress from you, Marian takes your hand into hers. "Well from what I have seen so far from you, you are already a great commander~" she says with a wink.

This made you blush; partly from her touch and partly from her faith in you. "W-Well I don't know. I still need practice, so-"

*BOOM! BOOM!*

All of the sudden, explosions and gunshots could be heard from in the distance again. You and Marian turn towards the sound before you realize something. "That's in the direction of the rendezvous point! We need to hurry!" you inform Marian before you two begin running to the loud noises.

Two Nikkes could be seen fighting a horde of raptures. One had light brown hair with a military cap and was clothed black and red combat gear that was slightly short around her legs, wielding an assault rifle. The other had lighter brown hair with similar cap and was clothed in yellow, brown, and gray combat gear with short shorts and an unzipped jacket that left little to the imagination, wielding a rocket launcher.

"How much longer are we going to wait here?!" the girl in yellow yelled at her partner as she blew up more hordes of raptures, clearly done and exhausted of them.
