Prologue

   The new and improved Hazbin Hotel towered above the group of sinners majestically, standing out amidst the scattered, run down buildings of Hell. Lucifer looked down at his newly revitalized daughter, happy that he was able to assist in her endeavor to rehabilitate sinners.

"Well, Charlie?" Lucifer mumbled, flashing her a toothy grin. "How do you feel now?" Charlie smiled back enthusiastically, clasping her hands together. "A lot better now- thanks, Dad!" Charlie hugged her father before reuniting with Vaggie to clean up the remaining rubble.

Alastor approached Lucifer with a smug grin, then appeared to arrogantly study his microphone. "You know, the old hotel had more of a tailored feel to it, but at least the new one is intact, hmm?" Alastor cast a sideways glare towards Lucifer, his smile stretching even further across his face.

Lucifer growled. "At least I wasn't gone dealing with a scratch for a whole fucking week." He shot back. He folded his arms and gave himself a triumphant smirk. Alastor's ears perked up, and his eyes began to glow a faint red. "Fuck you. At least I've been available for Charlie since the very beginning of her hotel. Where were you, lounging around in a depressive state?" Alastor cackled.

Feeling his face turn gold, Lucifer grimaced. The fact that some Radio Demon, in his words, was there and comforting Charlie more than her own father made him feel guilty.

He sighed and turned his back to Alastor.

"Yeah? Well, at least I'm making up for lost time."

Alastor was silent for a moment. "Better now than never, my dear," he said, then turned and walked away from Lucifer.

"Fucking red son of a bitch." Lucifer cursed under his breath, then looked at the remodeled hotel.

He was only living with that demon for Charlie. Only for her.
