It had been almost two weeks since Lucifer and Alastor's falling out. Both men had avoided each other like the plague, making excuses to leave or just teleporting out of the room once the other had entered.
The residents of the hotel quickly caught on to their sudden changes in demeanor, Charlie feeling exceptionally bad that her father was dealing with something similar to what he had experienced before with Lilith. Husk was absolutely floored to see the Radio Demon so disheartened, making him suspicious of what exactly happened between him and the King.
Lucifer was up in his tower making ducks when Charlie came knocking on his door. There was no response. The Princess sighed, then slowly cracked the door open to see her depressed father working away at his creations.
"Hey, Dad?" Charlie asked softly, frowning at Lucifer's solemn expression. The King was holding a duck that looked strikingly similar to a certain red clad fellow. He narrowed his eyes at it before scoffing, looking away disdainfully as he threw it into a growing mass of red ducks. He whined and curled up into the fetal position in his seat.
Charlie stepped inside her father's room slowly, rubbing her arm. "Dad, I was wondering if you'd maybe want to get dinner together? I've been worried about you; you haven't been super social lately, so... I thought you might enjoy going out?" She asked hopefully, smiling nervously at Lucifer.
Finally looking up to face his daughter, he contemplated it for a moment. "Just with you?" He asked, his voice raspy from a lack of usage in the past couple weeks.
The Princess nodded. "Yeah. I was thinking we could go somewhere nice and hang out." Lucifer flashed his daughter a fake smile and nodded, slowly stumbling out of his seat. "I'll... get ready." He mumbled, trudging his way to his bathroom while rubbing his dry eyes.

The restaurant they had gone to was only slightly upscale. Lucifer was opposed to going to an all-out fancy place because he didn't want to deal with rich losers trying to mooch off him because of his hierarchical status— especially while being as depressed as he was.
This place in particular was full of demons that feared the King's wrath— something he could deal with.
"Ooh! This looks good," Charlie exclaimed, pointing to an entree on her menu while showing her dad. "What are you thinking about getting?" She asked cheerfully. Lucifer sighed, struggling to keep up his stoic facade for the public. "I... I dunno. Maybe I'll just get something to drink..."
He wouldn't have much, he promised himself. Just a little to get him on a buzz to lessen the unbearable weight on his chest.

"... I just don't understand!" Lucifer slammed his fists on the table. His face was flushed from the astronomical amount of alcohol he consumed. Charlie was stunned as he went on a tangent about the Radio Demon.
"...He was so nice to me! Then he was an asshole! Then he was nice! He held my hand, for crying out loud! Now he wants to treat me like I don't fucking exist!" The King roared, his horns protruding from his skull while his voice distorted from the sheer amount of anger he was feeling.
Charlie's eyes widened, her mouth falling open. "Wait wait wait... Alastor held your hand?" She asked, bewildered, pushing herself up a little on the table.
Lucifer blinked, frozen in place. Once his mind caught up to himself, he growled and clawed at his hair. "FUCK! I wasn't supposed to say that!" He yelled again, his voice echoing around the empty room. He had managed to scare everyone away a while ago with his demonic form making itself known every other minute.
