Alastor paced around his room, his ears folded back from stress.
It was early evening. The hotel residents had just finished their dinner, and Alastor had headed to his room to contemplate his new predicament.
The deer demon scratched his head in frustration. Sighing, he started towards the window and glanced outside, eyeing the yellow city lights in the distance that contrasted the deep red hue of the night sky.
I can't do it, Alastor thought to himself, shifting his weight by leaning forward against his staff. His mind was scrambled by each rampant, passing thought that entered.
Exasperated, Alastor decided to sit down at his desk, propping up his head with his hands.
The deal he had made with Charlie was glued to his mind. Ever since Lucifer made comments regarding potential deals with his daughter, Alastor had felt a foreign feeling stabbing at his chest.
He began fiddling with a black and red pen on his desk, attempting to twirl it around in a circle multiple times and failing. Alastor then picked up a pink mug that read "OH DEER" and took a swig of coffee.
I can't go on like this. If Lucifer discovers I made a deal with Charlie, it could damage my reputation! He exclaimed internally, slamming a fist on the surface of his desk.
He had been pacing and fidgeting for what must have been thirty minutes now, unsure of how to resolve his dilemma. He had nothing in mind that he needed Charlie to do, and he didn't want her to do anything, really...
Alastor gasped. "Why of course!" He exclaimed verbally. His ears shot up in eureka.
With a snap of his fingers, Alastor teleported to the hotel lobby, smiling triumphantly at the immediate sight of Charlie conversing with Vaggie. Alastor strode over to the princess, his head held high.
"Why, hello there, princess!" Alastor said cheerfully.
Charlie paused her conversation with Vaggie to face the Radio Demon. "Oh, hi, Alastor! What's wrong?" She asked with a smile.
Alastor's smile widened. "Oh, nothing, my dear! May I have a word with you for a moment?" He asked, leaning forward slightly towards Charlie. Vaggie narrowed her eyes in suspicion.
Charlie, completely oblivious to her girlfriend's immediate caution, nodded her head. "Sure thing! Where—" Before she could finish her sentence, Alastor had teleported them both into her office.
Alastor and Charlie were sitting at the princess' desk; Alastor behind the desk, and Charlie seated in front. Alastor was casually examining his staff.
"So, my dear... I recall we had made a deal," Alastor started, catching the Princess's attention suddenly. Her eyes widened. "Oh... right..." She said, her head lowering to face the floor.
"Why the long face? You haven't even heard my request," Alastor asked, realizing he should proceed. "I need for you to never, EVER..." He started, his eyes beginning to glow a soft green. Charlie's breath hitched in her throat as she began to shrink further into her chair.
Alastor leaned forward threateningly.
"... tell your father I made a deal with you." He finished, his expression stoic.
Silence encapsulated the room for a few moments as Charlie processed what the feared Radio Demon had just told her. Her held breath escaped the second she blinked. "Say what now?" She asked monotonously, completely unmoving from her spot, now looking at Alastor in bewilderment.
"I order you to never tell Lucifer about our little deal. That will be your end of the bargain," Alastor explained, gesturing a hand towards Charlie.
