Alastor waltzed over to Charlie, who seemed to be looking for something, a concerned expression plastered on her face. The Radio Demon cleared his throat before smiling down curiously at the Princess.

"Hello, dear! Something seems to be the matter," he noticed matter-of-factly. "I needed help from my Dad... I can't find him anywhere." Charlie murmured, barely making eye contact with Alastor as she searched the premises. "I could've sworn I just saw him over there with Aunt Bee..." She whispered quietly to herself, biting her lip in thought.

The deer demon raised an eyebrow, tilting his head in confusion. "Hmm, how strange," he commented, internally pondering what Lucifer could possibly be up to. "Are you sure he is not in his tent?" Alastor asked.

Charlie shrugged. "Can you please check? I'm a little worried about him. He was so excited about this trip, but he's been acting kind of aloof today."

Alastor smiled through gritted teeth. "Why, of course, my dear! Leave it to me," he exclaimed, promptly turning on his heel to leave.

As he approached the King's tent, the deer demon inhaled deeply, mentally bracing himself for their interaction after Alastor's outburst from earlier. I do hope this isn't a hostile encounter, he thought, releasing a shaky breath before speaking.

"Lucifer, my dear... Charlie has been searching for you," he called, waiting a few moments for the King's response. After none came, Alastor rolled his eyes. "Lucifer, I understand you may not wish to interact, but this appears to be an urgent request," he called once more, surprised to hear nothing but birds chirping in the distance.

The Radio Demon face palmed, then unzipped the tent door hastily in frustration. "Luci–" He froze, realizing the King was missing. How peculiar, he thought, stroking his chin. Even for Lucifer, this is strange behavior. Perhaps I should search the woods; it may be the only place left that Charlie hasn't searched, he thought, hesitating before walking down a dirt path leading deep into the wilderness.

Meanwhile, the King of Hell laid in the unusually soft grass, glaring at the yellow colored sky with red, puffy eyes.

The buck that was laying with Lucifer had let its guard down completely, now comfortably snoozing next to Lucifer without a care in the world. The King himself was snuggled close to the deer, its rough hair being played with by his hands. The Devil sniffed and wiped a tear streak off of his cheek.

Alastor clasped a hand over his chest as his breath hitched in his throat. The deer demon hesitated, unsure how to approach the gloomy King. He took a step closer, cursing internally as a twig snapped under his foot.

Startled, the deer lying beside Lucifer shot up and immediately bolted away, not even bothering to slow down or turn around. Angry, Lucifer stood up and began walking away from Alastor.

"I can't even get away from you losers for five minutes!" He shouted, quickening his pace.

Alastor winced slightly, then began following the angel from a distance. "Lucifer–"

"Every. Single. Time. Every time, Alastor. You break me. I walk away. You know what happens next? You come crawling back to me acting like a fucking dejected puppy!" Lucifer snapped, flashing Alastor his demon form before turning his back to him again. "I need to talk with Charlie about kicking you out of the hotel. Find someone else to fuck around with."

The deer demon sighed, his ears drooping slightly. "Lucifer, please listen to me. I am deeply sorry for my rash outburst earlier. I was simply in a bad mood, and I did not intend to take it out on you," he said, fiddling with his hands.
