Alastor wiped his hands on his napkin and quickly stood up, grabbing his tray. He scurried over to a nearby garbage can to throw away his trash, then began walking towards the mens' restroom. As he approached, he caught sight of a blue TV demon.
Alastor clenched his fists. Is that who I think it is? He asked himself. His thoughts were quickly answered as he walked closer and heard Vox mumbling to himself.
"... that red son of a bitch..."
Alastor suddenly appeared in front of Vox, smiling casually. "Why hello, dear! Pleasure meeting you this afternoon, quite a pleasure!" Alastor lied through his teeth, leaning down towards the TV demon with intensity in his eyes.
Vox's face noticeably glitched from the sudden encounter. His face went from a scowl to full on rage. "I'm surprised I'd find you here, Alastor." The demon seethed, his voice distorted behind a smooth static.
Alastor laughed disingenuously, then admired his staff. "I suppose that makes two surprises, dear. Can the head of VoxTek not observe when a camera is malfunctioning from your own tower? I mean, really, if one was out, you simply wouldn't see any footage!" Alastor exclaimed.
"Like I'd expect you of all people to know anything about security footage. Why are you HERE?!" Vox was beginning to lose his cool rapidly, the smug grin plastered on the Radio Demon's face only fueling the flames.
Alastor's grin widened. "Oh, how kind of you to ponder my intentions! Truly, what a kind gesture! I did not know you care for me so much," Alastor teased, glaring down at the demon.
Vox clenched his fists, seemingly unaware of the sparks jumping out of the security cameras everywhere. "Fuck. You. This isn't over." He growled, then teleported away via security camera. The technology seemed to stop malfunctioning after that.
Alastor hummed in satisfaction, then remembered he needed to check on Lucifer. He quickly scanned the restroom, noticing Lucifer must have already returned to the table with everyone else. Sighing, Alastor closed the bathroom door and headed back to reunite with the gang.
Lucifer was chatting with Charlie about something before he noticed Alastor coming towards them. He quickly stopped the conversation and urged Charlie to make an announcement about groups.
Alastor approached Lucifer, then cleared his throat. "My apologies, dear, for my earlier comments. I was not aware you were quite sensitive," Alastor said genuinely, still struggling with not teasing the king.
Lucifer raised an eyebrow, giving him a slight look of disgust. "Sure you weren't." He scoffed, then turned his attention towards Charlie, his expression immediately softening, Alastor noticed.
Alastor placed a hand on Lucifer's shoulder. "Ah, let us enjoy the rest of your carnival, my dear! We have much to do before closing!" He said, regretting his word choice. Alastor leaned down to whisper in Lucifer's ear. "... And no roller coasters this time... please."
The King's temper flared in response. He used his powers to zap Alastor's hand and keep him away. "Get your filthy hands off of me." He warned, his eyes and voice becoming distorted by his demon form.
"Okay, listen up, everyone!" Charlie exclaimed, receiving the attention of everyone at the table. "Go ahead and get into new groups! Angel and Niffty, Cherri and Vaggie, me and Husk, and Alastor and Dad!" Charlie announced excitedly. "Think of this as another kindness exercise to get closer together!" She squealed.
Husk groaned, face palming himself.
Alastor clenched his teeth. Shit... I don't want to do this again, he growled angrily to himself.
