Amaya's POV

I woke up feeling refreshed the next morning, this was one of the few nights that I didn't spend on my work desk. It was Saturday today but I still had the habit of waking up early. I decided to check my phone before heading down. Mum sent me something, it was a picture of Mr Daniels son.

I decided to check it, there's no harm if I was rejecting it anyways. I was shocked when I opened the picture, i couldn't believe my eyes, Lucas O'Brien was Mr Daniels son. Of course, how didn't I realize it before, Mr Daniel O'Brien. I was having mixed feelings now, I didn't know how to feel, I felt giddy, anxious, excited, confused, all at the same time. This was to much.

Somebody pinch me, I must be dreaming. I brushed my teeth, washed my face and packed my hair in a messy bun before proceeding downstairs to make breakfast. I knew my decision now and I was so excited to tell mum and dad.

I decided on lasagna after much consideration but I was also craving pie so I made that as well. Nanny Chen was off work today but the house was still tidy from the previous night. I heard footsteps coming down the stairs knowing it was probably mum and dad. I pulled the pie out of the oven and placed it on the table.

"Morning mum, morning dad"

"Morning flower", dad was the first to reply. I smiled at his nickname for me.

"Morning sweetheart, how was your night?", Mum asked.

"Was blissful, slept like a baby", I smiled.

"That's good"

Mum nudged dad's arm. I knew they were eager to know my answer.

"So flower, have you made your decision yet?", Dad asked softly.

I tried killing my smile and put on a straight face. "Yes dad, I have, I agree to the proposal"

"Sweetheart, it's alright, it's your decision after all...", Mum said obviously not hearing my reply. I laughed as she replayed my words. "....yes, like your ready to get married to him?", she was all smiles now.

"Yes ma", I was smiling brightly now.

"I'm so happy, I'm going to be in-laws with my best friend, I'll call her and tell her now", and with that she was off.

Dad sat there staring at me. "What's wrong dad, aren't you happy?", I sat beside him.

"I'm happy darling, it's just, you grew up so much, I never imagined the day my little princess will leave me", tears glazed his eyes now.

"I'm not a child anymore dad, I'm 24", I laughed trying to lighten the mood.

"No matter how old you are, you'll always be my princess", dad cleaned his eyes. "Don't mind these, they're tears of joy", I laughed at him as I threw myself at him.

"I love you dad"

"I love you too princess, now what's for breakfast, all this emotional talk has made me hungry", we both laughed as his stomach grumbled.

Mum came back whilst we had started eating and scolded us for eating without her. Her husband placated her of course, after which she told us that our families will be having dinner next weekend to discuss more about the wedding.

After breakfast, I freshened up and texted Aria to meet me at Cafe '7 which was around the corner. She tried getting the reason out of me but I told her I'll inform her once we meet.

I applied my lotion and headed to my walk in closet to decide on my outfit. I decided on black cargo pants, white crop top, a pair of black and white Nike (cause why not, black and white rocks) and a black jacket to complete the fit. It was a little chilly so I threw on another jacket, put on my jewelry, grabbed my phone and purse and was set to go.
