Amaya's POV

I have a long day ahead today. Yesterday I spent the night at Luca's place, I left early this morning after helping him change his bandage. I had a lot of work today, the finishing touches of my wedding gown and the designs for fashion week, I have to work non stop this week as mum said we'll be going for honeymoon after the wedding, even though we both said it wasn't necessary but our moms weren't having any of it. I wasn't scared though. For some reason, I trusted Luca, he showed that he won't ever touch me without my permission, it was just a marriage of convenience.

A knock on my door interrupted my work. Ria walked in before I could respond, carrying a box with her. Yeah, Ria came back from Spain yesterday and she was all over her head this morning telling me all about her time there.

"I'm really not in the situation to hear more of your stories Ria", I pouted at my best friend.

"Well unfortunately for you, I'm not here to give you anymore gist...", I smiled at that. "....for now", I grunted leaning back on my seat.

"Anyways..", she smiled. "...a delivery guy dropped this off, he said it's for you"

"What's it?", I asked taking the box and surveying it.

"I don't know but I'm eager, open it already", Ria chided.

"What if it's a bomb"

"It's not a bomb Maya, open it"

I finally gave in and opened it, inside the box was lunch. My favorite actually, from my favorite restaurant, the one I didn't get to eat last night because of the incident. There was a note accompanying it, it read:

' Food for your thoughts, I know you're very busy and haven't had the time to eat.

PS: this is to make up for not getting to enjoy your dinner last night.

L.O

"Who's L.O?", Ria asked confused. "Do you have a secret admirer?"

"Lucas O'Brien", I said with a soft smile on my face.

"Awwwwnnnn", Ria gushed in my ear grinning about how sweet and charming he was. I didn't even realize when she came to stand next to me while I was reading the note. The girl's crazy.

"Don't you have work to do. Out now", I playfully scolded her.

"Alright boss", She raised her hands playfully as she left. I turned back towards the note, I couldn't help but smile at the kind gesture that accompanied the letter. Lucas O'Brien you've done it again.

Lucas POV

Before the package was delivered

I sat in my office deep in thought, my PA was opposite me saying something but I couldn't pin whatever he was saying.

"Sir, did you hear what I said"

"Shit, sorry about that, what were you saying?"

"What's on your mind Sir. You've been spaced out since you came to the office"

"Its nothing", I shook him off.

"Okay", he said but I knew he was still curious. My PA Frank was one of the people in my circle that I trusted, he was nice and a Papa Bear, took care of me but always knew his limits, like now.

"Can you do me a favor"

"Sure, anything for you boss"

"The restaurant downtown, 'taste and tell bistro' or whatever. I want you to send them an order, I want it sent to a location this afternoon", I scribbled down what I wanted to be written on a note before passing it to him. "With this note attached to it"

"Sure boss, but who's it for?", Frank eyed suspiciously.

"Since when did you start poking into my business. Seems like you have less work to do. Should I assign some more..."

"I was just joking. I'm going okay", Frank laughed nervously. He was already at the door.

Third person's POV

Frank was already on his way out when he met Carlos who was coming to see Luca. "Sup Frank, where are you going this early, it's not yet lunch break", He said checking his watch to make sure he wasn't wrong.

"The Boss sent me somewhere, he wants an order to be delivered to this address", He showed Carlos the address. Carlos recognized the address as Amaya's work address.

"Let me see the note"

"Carlos boss, Boss specifically asked..."

"He won't know anything if you don't tell him", Carlos smiled at him. Frank knew that Carlos was very close to Lucas and didn't mean any harm.

Carlos opened the note and laughed. His best friend really knew how to choose his words, so plain and straight to the point.

"Do you have a pen?", He asked Frank who looked at his boss's friend nervous for his well being.

"Relax, I'm not doing anything wrong. Just adding a little spice to the note", He took the pen from Frank and added in some things."much better", He smiled proudly at himself once he was done. "Now you may go", he gave the note back to him and continued his journey to Lucas office. Frank only hoped that Carlos wouldn't put him in trouble.

The wedding was tomorrow and both bride and groom were nervous as hell. For different reasons though, Amaya was nervous about getting married, as every girl is the night before their wedding. Her husband to be didn't exactly make things better. Lucas, however was nervous about how the wedding will go, it was going to be a private wedding obviously, but Lucas wasn't really sure the paparazzi will take that likely. He'd tripled the security for the wedding. Under hidden eyes though, he didn't want Amaya or anyone else to be suspicious. He hoped the wedding went as planned, after the wedding, Lucas parents had already planned for them to go on their honeymoon, one Lucas of course fought against but his parents still got the better hand when his mom started crying about how she'd already spent alot of money on the wedding and how he should do this for her further blackmailing him by telling him that it's what Amaya would have wanted if she was marrying her dream man.

Well played Mrs O'Brien, well played.

1033 words.

The wedding is finally here. I'm soo excited, if you can't already tell, I love weddings😁.
