Chapter 24

Amaya's POV

"Wow"

"It's beautiful", a series of astonishment and excitement gushed through my workers and best friend. I was equally as excited as they were, it was beautiful. After 3 days and sleepless nights, I had managed to pull off the most beautiful wedding dress ever courtesy of my new friend lily who let me work my magic. You could say I fulfilled my promise of making her the most beautiful and sexiest bride ever. You're welcome.

And by the droplets of tears around her eyes, I could tell she loved it. "Stupid pregnancy hormones", She laughed as she cleaned the tears. I laughed with her as she hugged me.

"Thank you Amaya", She smiled.

"It's nothing. What are friends for"

"Stop it. You'll make me cry", Ria rushed in as she cleaned some fake tears and we laughed. The three of us have become best friends over this period and we've learnt a lot about each other. I was meant to be lily's bridesmaid but unfortunately the wedding was going to be in spain and I won't be able to make it because of my own wedding preparations. Ria is going though, she said and I quote, "I can't miss the opportunity to meet some hotshot rich Spanish guy", to which we laughed at. Typical Ria.

"Thank you so much Amaya. You just made this day more beautiful for me", lily smiled as she stared at herself in the mirror again. After she was done, we kept talking and chatting about everything till her driver came. Ricardo who lilly introduced us to as her fiance's right hand man was the one who walked into the store.

"Evening ladies", his Spanish accent thick, a small smile on his face, he was handsome alright, his accent only adding to his beauty. The way Ria always stared at him told me he was definitely her type but she was a player afterall, every hot guy was her type.

"Evening Ric", Lily smiled at him.

"Evening Ricardo", I equally smiled at him. He was a funny guy once you've gotten past his stuck up side.

"How many times have I told you to call me Ric", He retorted.

"And how many times have i told you that I was getting married", I smiled back.

"Exactly. You're still single so I still have a chance", he flirted. I laughed obviously not taking him seriously. He was a sweet guy, maybe if things were different, in another lifetime maybe, we would have kicked it off.

"Thank you for today, Maya", Lily smiled at me as she stood up. I handed the bag to Ricardo who winked at me. I hadn't seen lily's fiance before, all the times she came for fittings, it was always Ricardo who accompanied her. Lily says he's a very busy man. From the escorts and bodyguards that follow lily to the store, I wasn't even going to deny that. He was definitely a hotshot. I was happy that lily decided to give a chance to their relationship, she says he's actually a good person.

Once they left, I moved to my office to complete my designs for my dress, the week went by really quickly with the ladies dragging me to go shopping for my engagement dress and everything. To say I was tired was an understatement, I wonder how they could have that much strength at their age. Tomorrow is my engagement and I'm not sure how to feel about it, a part of me is nervous, another part of me is scared while the other part of me just wants to get it over with.

I finished up with the last touch ups for the dress, i smiled at it, i had always imagined my wedding dress since I was little. I'm glad that I had the chance to get that at least. Once I was done with everything, I handed the designs to my assistant who was going to send it to the department to start off with it. I had to go home early today as I had to go to the spa and the salon with Ria. Mine and Luca's mom wanted to accompany me but after the shopping disaster I didn't think I could take another one so I had to tell them that I and ria already had it planned. They were disappointed but they understood which I was happy for.

I walked out of the store greeting the doorman on the way out as I headed to my car. I pulled out of the driveway heading towards Rias to pick her up. Pulling up in front of her apartment complex, I quickly texted her and went on scrolling through my phone.

She came down few minutes late and slid into the passengers seat. "Spa date", we both screamed at the same time, laughing when some people passing by stopped to look at us like we were crazy. Yeah, she was definitely my best girl.

We pulled up at Joe's, we were regulars here, especially when we recently opened up our store. After all the weeks stress, we'd always come here to lighten our muscles. "If it isn't my two favorite besties", Joe smiled as he walked out of the back room. "Hey, Joe", I said as he walked up to us, pulling us in for hugs and cheek kisses.

"It's been so long since you girls came around, I was beginning to think you girls had forgotten me", he pouted as we laughed. "How could we forget you Joe, we were just really busy", ria explained. "Hmmm, alright so what's the gist. Spill", he smiled at us.

"What gist?", I was genuinely confused. "Oh come on Maya baby don't lie to me, I see the way you're glowing. Who's the lucky hunk", he winked at me as his question clicked and I blushed.

Ria laughed as she went on to explain to Joe that I was actually getting married. I stood to the side, my face turning all red as those two gossiped about me like I wasn't standing right here. Ria talking about how hot and handsome Lucas was and Joe gushing about rias description.

"Guys I'm right here you know", I crossed my arms as they turned to look at me. Ria gave Joe the look I knew all too well which said 'we'll finish up this talk later' while Joe nodded.

"Okay back to business guys. I'm at your service, what will you guys be needing today?", Joe guided us to the back as we started off with a very soothing massage before we hit the sauna and took a soak then we had them deal with our nails and cuticles. It was roughly 7 when we were done, I was so relaxed, I didn't want to leave. Ria was right, I needed this.

I dropped ria off at her apartment before I went home. Tomorrow's gonna be a long day.

I've been off for a while but I got to write a lot of my chapters out Wattpad so I'll be posting all of them and genuinely hope to finish the entire novel before this year ends. Once again my exams are around the corner. Please root for me guys.
