Little by little, feelings change.
I know one day, you’ll be in another’s embrace.
The years spent with you were so good
that I never thought one day you’ll fall for someone new.
Every second of me talking to you
were the moments I felt so happy.
Every minute of us enjoying things
were the moments I felt so much enjoyment.
Every hour of us sharing our problems
were the moments I never felt alone.
Everyday of us overcoming every challenge
were the moments I felt so much stronger.
When I met you, I got the courage to live.
You made every moment special.
You understood me better than anyone else
and you’ve loved me by showing your care.
It was at this moment when I realized,
our love for each other won’t last long.
You started to sail the boat alone
and leave me on the shore waiting for you.
You did come back but with the breeze so cold.
I overthink it that one day something like this will happen.
It did and it shattered my soul when you uttered goodbye.
I was stunned as I saw you vanish from my sight.
I never thought that the day you’ll leave me
was exactly four years ago when we first met.
It broke me completely realising it,
and I couldn’t sense if one day I will be whole again.
